I'm enjoying this game very much. It just feels more like a real baseball game. The atmosphere is great, the ballparks look great. I also find it more fun to pitch in MLB2k5 than MVP.
There is definite room for improvement though, the animations still are not that smooth, fielding can be kinda boring(not enough camera angles) and the base running can be a chore. Even with all those problems I still find myself playing it a little more often than MVP.

Finally got my season under way. Controlling all 30 teams. Am 3-2 with the Padres. I took a lot of time prior to starting to learn the running scheme and have no problems with it now. With a little help from the speed burst I'm doing well with the balls hit to the outfield.

Last game was a 3-2 thriller over Pittsburgh. Pads ahead 3-0 in the 9th, brought in Hoffman (with Hell's Bells in playing in the background). Suddenly it's homerun and with the tying run on 3rd, two outs, run down a long fly ball to left center. Lovin' the game, the atmosphere.

After spending sometime with this game and seeing some of the bugs, etc., I've realized that it's the best baseball game out there. It's got a good mix of: realistic and customizable gameplay, great presentation/graphics, multiple play options, and innovative touches in gameplay (like the baserunning) that seperate this game from EA's title.

While not the most polished baseball game out there, it is the one to get - this is the closest thing to a 'next generation' sports game.

After spending sometime with this game and seeing some of the bugs, etc., I've realized that it's the best baseball game out there. It's got a good mix of: realistic and customizable gameplay, great presentation/graphics, multiple play options, and innovative touches in gameplay (like the baserunning) that seperate this game from EA's title.

While not the most polished baseball game out there, it is the one to get - this is the closest thing to a 'next generation' sports game.

I like this game a lot. It's fun, and I don't spend my time looking for bugs. I just play and enjoy the great presentation. If the development team will listen to feedback, this could turn into one darn good game in the coming years. My only 2 complaints are with the way too zoomed in fielding camera and too many line drives to infielders.

i love it. i dont get many liners. i swing under most pitches anticipating a break in the pitch, thus i hit lots of fly balls. my friend hits tons of grounders. it depends on how you pitch and how you swing.

Same here. The presentation in MLB 2006 MORE than adequately matches up to T2's offering... Hell, it's even better in some parts, like the lineup...

Anybody fixed the fact that the game randomly picks players from your organization and assigns them pitching stats?
