Honestly. Don't ever recall having this much enjoyment in a baseball game. These rosters, attribute edits and slider options make this unreal.

Played 2 games today.

First one lost 7-6. Both starters got chased early. CPU and I had to manage bullpens and they were great. CPU hit a 2 out 3-1 count home run (I'd be going nuts on my high school pitcher for falling behind, so I was all over myself for that, couldn't believe I did that.......brings me back to getting shelled in college, ha) in the bottom of 8. I got a guy to third with 2 out and popped out to short. UGH, great game.

Just played another.
I have this line in front of me now on my tv.
ME: 6/12/0
CPU:5/11/0

I scored 4 in the 3rd. 4-0
They scored 4 in the 4th. Huge 3 run home run with 2outs. 4-4
They scored 1 in the 7th. 4-5
I scored 2 in the 8th. Huge 2 run home run. 6-5
They had 1st and 2nd one out. Turned a nasty double play, 463, to end the game.

THis should probably go in the impressions thread, but damn, this isn't a 2k12 impression. This is a "Community 2k12 Roster" impression. So it had to go here.

Once again, great work by all involved!

Astros are in the Al for both Play Now games and Franchise mode. Pretty cool!

Finished the First two teams (Toronto and Philladelphia) Doing the Yankees next (the 3 teams I know best) Then I will go by Alphabetical Order.

Toronto-
Top Pitcher: RA Dickey (90)
Top Hitter: Jose Bautista (95)

Philadelphia-
Top Pitcher: Cliff Lee/Cole Hamels (88)
Top Hitter: Jimmy Rollins/Michael Young (84)

Hey thanks for doing this man I know it's a lot of work. I was surprised to see that Revere wasn't ranked higher than Rollins/Young based purely on his contact skills against righties and lefties, along with his speed attributes and the like.

I tend to use 2012 stats rather than the last 3 years so I guess it depends on what your process is.

I'm a phillies fan and I personally think that was one of the worst trades in franchise history but who knows, maybe he'll surprise me...

When you look at the context of the trade I think it makes sense. The situation was this:

Phillies have very little money in the context of this example.

1) Sign Bourn - expensive
2) Bring someone up from minors to play CF - no options available
3) Trade for a young, inexpensive CF that you have control over for several years - inexpensive

Granted they gave up some pitching prospects, but that's how it works. Trade unproven prospects that could flame out for young player with some proven skills.

Look what it cost the Royals to get some solid proven MLB pitching...A top 5 prospect in all of MLB.
