haha hey left/right splits are a big deal. There's no point in bringing in the lefty specialist if the batter you're facing is 82 against RHP and "only" 80 against LHP when in real life he's got huge splits (shin-soo choo for example).

do you guys know what coaches were hidden on the disk? I am looking at Francona, and I am wondering whether guys like Torre, Lou Piniella, Ken Macha, Bobby Cox, Willie Randolph, and Tony La Russa are on hidden on the disk.

I did a lot of reading / research this morning on latest MLB news. I have a Word Document that I added everything into - it will include latest batting lineups (based upon what managers are saying this week) and updated pitching staffs (based upon out-of-options players). Once Bretsky is done with his work (and no hurry) I'll take the file back and incorporate all this. I'll add a couple new players (especially our Mariners friend whose life might end if we don't get A.A. in the game - just playing!). We're on track, guys!!

This is so awesome! Thanks everyone for their hard work. Will be getting my copy of 2K12 tonight for a whopping $7. Who needs 2K13? So excited.

Edit...The latest version online is MK's from the 16th right?

Yes - just look under newest. Has all the anticipation ratings at 25 & catcher block plate at 99. All transactions were made to that point, however I have much to update yet. Realize these are "projected" lineups based upon the great information from mlbdepthcharts.com and mlbtraderumors.com. Bretsky is now working on the new attribute ratings, so that file is slightly outdated. You will be able to use the Astros in the AL West.

I'd STRONGLY suggest everyone patiently waiting before starting a new Franchise Mode. We have quite a bit yet to do, but we've already come a LONG, LONG way with this file.

Thanks MK. Definitely gonna wait a little bit before starting a Franchise, havent played a game of baseball in a while, gonna get the current iteration and play a bunch of exhibition games to shake the rust.

- Listened in on an IGN podcast today, and about half way through it was said that 2K13 has been revamped from the ground up, with details to come this weekend.

- Not that I am too excited after all the work we did, but it is interesting. More to come..

I didnt get much work done today, this file is going to take longEr then I thought, if you want MK when I'm about 1/2 way done I could send you the file and you could make the changes so your not overwhelmed with work

Pretty interesting. But going with your second statement. With all the work being done here I don't see myself going to 2k13.

Once again, I just played a game, I used my whole bench as pinch hitters, runners, defensive replacements and used 4 pitchers. I just managed a game like I do with my real high school team I coach. It was terrific.

I just don't see a game playing better than this. Maybe they make 2k13 smoother.......i don't see it playing better than this. Not yet anyway. We shall see.

I'd really think I'd need a drastic change, like with what Madden did this year, to get it.
A game isn't worth buying if the only cool feature besides MLB Today is an exploitable money challenge.
The only real thing I'd need to complete me is the schedule, which is what TVMan is working on. :P
