I tried multiple times with separate files...all of which had the same problem...let me know if anyone else has it happen to them....

Had the same issue by my Roster download was a earlier one.. was around the opening day roster release... I'll explain what i noticed and what happened when mine froze in Season 2 after the 4th or 5th game at the end of this post..

Had the same issue with the Colorado Rockies in year 2 after the 4th or 5th game.. But again i was using the roster release from around opening day, which i have replaced with the new updates so idk if this had been fixed in between then???

Are you simming from the "schedule" screen or the "home" screen? In year 2 if you sim from the "headline" or "home" screen (whatever it is that has the days games a the bottom in a horizontal fashion) will freeze the game. TVman I think figured that out about 1000 posts ago and am sure it got lost in the shuffle.

But if you always sim from the "schedule" screen you'll be fine. I'm on year 3 with no issues except if I try to sim from the headline screen or whatever one shows the days games at the bottom.

Use Right STick, go to schedule and try from there. Should be good.

Nice i was looking for information on this earlier when i had a season 2 freeze after the 4th or 5th game... there was just so many post i couldnt bare going all the way through and reading it all haha... So i will have to go back and read and see if there is any information on this that might of helped with my issue..

I will tell you though, my freeze came from the team schedule section which is basically from what i've read just here not supposed to happen.

This was reported earlier and it only happens if you sim from the "headline" or "mlb.com" screen. It is reportedly fine if you sim from your team's calendar screen.

Again i am responding to this based off not going back and reading the previous post that Shogun was nice enough to bookmark for us.. MAYBE WE CAN MAKE A SEPERATE THREAD FOR THIS ISSUE ON HERE???

However as i said in my response to Shogun, my Freeze can in the 2nd season from my teams schedule page.

Now this is what i noticed and once again my when i had this freezing issue i was using the roster's from the opening day release.. i have since then obviously went and downloaded the latest roster update and so maybe this has been addressed since then and if so i apologize.

But this is what i noticed is that when i was the Colorado Rockies, in Year 2, i had a 4 game series to start the season on the road against the Phillies... after the 4th game we were 0-4 and when i went to "simulate to next day" all of a sudden we were 0-5 which was odd to me and it simulated my "created" players start and was back to our #1 pitcher Chacin for the next game.. The wierd thing about this was that we only had 4 games listed on the schedule (marked as played).. so i quickly backed out and loaded it up again thinking maybe it was just a fluke and something just didnt register right...

So i loaded my Franchise mode up again where it had last saved after my 4th game and we were 0-4 again.. i once again simulated to the next day and again this time we were listed as 1-4 overall but only 4 games were showing up on the schedule.. so at this point i was really confused and so i quickly backed out again and loaded it up.. This time i decided to check the "daily view" for the Rockies Organization where it shows the MLB/AAA/AA/A games on that day and there i saw the Rockies had 2 games on that day.. it showed the one i had already played as well as my Minor League games.. and then the other game listed for that day again between the Rockies and Phillies.. Basically as if it was a Day/Night Double Header..

******EDIT****** Also it never gave me an option to play that 2nd game on the same day or else i would of just done that..

So after seeing that i decided to try and "out smart" the game and figured there was nothing i could do about it and so i decided to bring a AAA pitcher up to pitch that game and take my spot in the rotation so that i could pitch the next game without messing up my personal stats since i only play my "created" players starts. So i brought up the AAA pitcher and simmed like i had done the previously 2 times and this time i guess 3 was the charm and it froze and "corrupted" the file. Thus ending my Franchise hahaha..

Again i was using the opening day Rosters and have since then downloaded the lastest release and i apologize again is this has been fixed since then, but i just thought it was interesting.

Okay.. so i went back and read most of the post from where Shogun directed me and now im confused on exactly what you guys are talking about??

Saying when you save and quit and it loads a roster, and the 2013 schedule, and how you should change the name of the file and so it loads that one and ya lol sorry its just a little confusing when reading it??

Any chance you can further elaborate on that please and thank you???

I'm currently teaching 5th grade class right now and they are working on their powerpoint presentation so I have a second to try to elaborate.

The schedule for franchise mode is attached to the roster files you download from 2kshare and or offline download. The newest MK and crew roster file has the 2013 schedule that tvman put on.

When you exit franchise mode, a roster loads from your saved profile settings. I have read of people freezing when leaving franchise mode. So it may be best to set a default 2k roster to load in your profile settings. I have the newest MK roster load when leaving franchise and have no issues.

As far as franchise freezing in season 2 and beyond. TVman I believe came to the conclusion that the way the game creates the year 2 and beyond schedules (as the MLB has not released the 2014 and beyond schedule so the game takes previous schedules and current to create future, if that makes sense.

For some reason simming from the headline screen will cause a freeze everytime in year 2 and beyond. But, going into the team schedule page and simming that way will not, at least hasn't for me in season 3.

I'll be playing the kids slide shows in a minute, damn them getting into my video game discussion time! I'll be back to see how you're doing in a few.

I have add all of the portraits from the file over at the 1998 roster forum hidden cyber face excel. (All of you should check that file out) There are portraits for players like Daniel Nava, Jeremy Bondermon, and Manuel Corpas. Who might have been injured or something and didn't get their portraits on the file for some reason.

Upon review, the file you uploaded with the REDitor edits had a LOT of pitchers who lost pitch types, and pitchers who saw different pitch types have all their ratings removed.

Can we just stop with the REDitor edits, or get someone to do this who knows what they're doing. I'll be honest - I'm a bit beyond frustrated right now. A LOT of my time and edits all lost... sigh...

Update 2: just discovered (going over my edits of the Astros) that pitcher Jose Cisnero has been deleted from the file - he's disappeared.

Again, I'm beyond pissed right now. ElSeniorLew: what did you do to this file??

Recreating players takes me forever... I think I'm pretty much done with this project. I put HOURS and HOURS into this - I'm really irritated.

So what is your solution to this??

Update 3: ELSeniorLew... You duplicated Jose Veras in this file - did you not double check the names, as I asked you to do??

Sorry if I'm coming across strong here, but I'm really aggravated... I'm now in my 3rd hour of edits because so much got screwed up...

Sadly I think that the ReEditor doesn't work well with editing roster files. I've encountered a lot of issues even with just editing injuries. It seems like just simple edits will screw up the entire file and cause names, and pitch types to change.

I had to change probably 15 names just in the Cubs minor league organization because they changed and all I did to my file was add injuries. I can't imagine what happens when more work is put it.

I understand your frustration mk and I think moving forward the ReEditor edits should stop. I don't think Lew did anything on purpose, but I think the program just jacks things up all over the place.

MK, as long as LewLew made a separate file, couldn't you just use your last file and continue work from there? My thinking being it would restore whatever players were lost/pitches were changed.

I love all the work that everybody is doing, and of course, a jays fan, and no changes to the AAA affiliates, we should all just enjoy the game for a while...MK, you have done an incredible job. Stop editing for a while, play the game......relax...enjoy the work you have done...the rest of us can wait...you have given so much

I have the free version that just lets me edit players. I cant delete or do anything that you you have mentioned with the free version of reditor so I dont know what to tell you.
