Hello everyone. I just saw this forum today and I'm glad the public is taking matters into their own hands to make the rosters legitimate compared to the people actually making the game! I'm sure my questions have been answered before but I don't want to go through 100+ pages in this thread. I rented MLB 2K13 from a Redbox just to give it a shot, and I was completely disappointed with all the fake names and lack of effort to change the player pictures after they were traded last year. If mk is putting in this much time to make the rosters accurate, that would get me excited to actually get the game. I was curious, are these roster updates only for MLB 2K12? Or can we import your roster updates in 2K13? If it's only for 2K12, then I would just go buy a used version of the game for dirt cheap at Gamestop.

There is a 2k13 version of the game, but there are a lot of problems, my advice would be to get 2k and save 40 bucks. The rosters are better for 2k12.

Are you looking on 2kshare under rosters - newest?

I answered his PM on this as well.

The next upload on Thursday will have some pretty solid updates on league leaders in various categories. Expect it LATE Thursday night.

Again, I know I say this a lot, but what few "play now" games I get in, I truly LOVE playing this game. Finally unlocked the achievement today where I come back from an 0-2 count and draw a walk. Was a 10 pitch at-bat where I had to foul off a few pitches, but was a nice feeling.

Also, might tick some of you guys off, but you're really going to see some separation in the latest upload. The benefit of the doubt I was giving to some guys (ie. Mark Buehrle) is over. Trends will be noted, but it's becoming clear that some guys are just not cutting it this year. Josh Reddick is a great example of this. Also, Matt Kemp has ONE HR to date. And my disappointment in the Indians for not signing Josh Willingham to that 3 year deal last year has faded away as well.

The hardest thing to rate are the bench players who are having solid seasons. For example, Ramirez and Perez on the Twins are both scorching the ball. I believe they deserve credit for this. The only thing I don't like is how the overall rating is ballooned.

Lastly, I tend to look at relief pitchers and starters differently. I don't like to go much higher than an 82 or 83 rating for setup men or late-inning relievers. Though some will have solid ERA's, I won't rate them in the 90's (but a closer *might* get that benefit if they're deemed worthy).

QUESTION: has anyone done any experimenting to see if the AAA affiliates for the Mets and Blue Jays can be switched? Does this screw up their ENTIRE minor league affiliates too? Was just curious... That's about the only issue we have left to deal with.

I want to thank all of you for the team effort we've put into this. I've been doing MLB 2K rosters for 4 years now. I will admit this year is the MOST advanced I've developed the ratings. In the past I would get a bit lazy and realize things had drastically changed for some players. But this year I'm really trying to keep up. Please know that it usually takes around 1 1/2 to 2 hours to go over every team (using all the latest box scores). But I enjoy doing this. Hope everyone is enjoying 2K 12 this year. I haven't regretted sending back 2K13 for a second...

There is a 2k13 version of the game, but there are a lot of problems, my advice would be to get 2k and save 40 bucks. The rosters are better for 2k12.

i second that.....the time and effort put into this roster is second to none. not to mention the attention to detail. it has everything except the new astro unis, and you can live with that.

Put 2 hours of work into the file today. Will release it Thursday night - will be solid stuff, I promise you that.

Added players (from the prior list a few posts ago): Duke Welker (relief pitcher for PIT) and Derek Dietrich (2B/SS for MIA).

Hang tight, guys...will be well worth it!

Big problem. In year 2 of dynasty using these rosters, apparently the first week of the next year always freezes when trying to advance the next day. I think the file is crashing because of the schedule

I live in a small town and don't have school on Fridays! So I will take the file Friday morning and at the portraits. I will have the file update earlyish Friday. Around 10:00 PST if not earlier.

And the reason I am taking the file first is so that the uniforms can be look at for longer. As it should take awhile.

Are you simming from the "schedule" screen or the "home" screen? In year 2 if you sim from the "headline" or "home" screen (whatever it is that has the days games a the bottom in a horizontal fashion) will freeze the game. TVman I think figured that out about 1000 posts ago and am sure it got lost in the shuffle.

But if you always sim from the "schedule" screen you'll be fine. I'm on year 3 with no issues except if I try to sim from the headline screen or whatever one shows the days games at the bottom.

Use Right STick, go to schedule and try from there. Should be good.

This was reported earlier and it only happens if you sim from the "headline" or "mlb.com" screen. It is reportedly fine if you sim from your team's calendar screen.
