Are these sliders still working out well for everyone?

Re: JT Sliders - Final Version

I've been using these for my last 13 games and I really like the way they play, particularly on defense. This has been the first time where I'm consistently seeing bloop singles and more 'classic' singles and doubles, as well as being able to spot if a ball's going to drop in as soon as it leaves the bat. Really plays well in that respect.

The one thing that's popping up on me again is that the CPU can't hit to save its life. I actually really like the rate at which they swing and miss, that part's perfect. But when they do make contact, they're hitting weak grounders way too often.

It would seem the easy fix is to up their hitting power, but I don't want to screw with what is otherwise perfect CPU hitting. Not to mention, messing with CPU power would put my defensive sliders in jeopardy. (I don't want to be forced into making my guys faster, for example, as this is the main reason I'm seeing such good hit variety.)

I also agree that these sliders are working very well. Every game I play is usually a challenge, but that probably also has to do with the Braves bullpen being below average, as they've cost me close to 6 games so far, and I'm only 22 games into the season.

I'm having pretty good results with the computer hitting. I've seen it all with their hitting.

I'm in the same boat as you. I absolutely love mostly everything about these sliders, except the fact that it seems like the CPU rarely puts the ball into play with any authority. Maybe it has something to do with playing against the Nationals... but come on, I'm the Marlins!

For my last game I went ahead and upped the CPU's power slider to 70. The White Sox scored 6 runs on 14 hits and actually seemed a little too powerful. I'm gonna play the next game with it at 65; I have a feeling I won't have to change it again after that.

Re: JT Sliders - Final Version

Well guys, I just played a series against the Rockies, and I outscored them 28-0 in three games, but then in the first game of the series against the Phillies, they put up 7 runs on 15 hits. So I'm thinking it's gotta have a lot to do with the other team. I also played the Nationals, and they had trouble hitting against me as well. But as for the Mets, Phillies, and Marlins, they usually get hits consistently.

I'm going to have to agree. In two games with CPU power at 65, the White Sox raped me for 33 runs (40 total in the series).

I'll be putting it back down to 50.

Hey guys I am back into this game after fooling around with NCAA for a bit. I have some changes which I never posted. This should address lack of CPU power.. I'll be posting shortly. Glad you guys like them. I have had fun with them also.

No I havent.. my buddy borrowed the CD and hasn't given it back to me. He apparently likes the sliders also and is having fun.

Anyhow I will tell him to give the game back to me in a day or two and I will edit the first post with the updated sliders. There are only a couple changes.

                        Thanks
