Okay guys made a couple of small changes and just played the most realistic game yet. I will update the first post right now with them.

I am liking the change in the power numbers for your sliders, I am trying to get more runs scored, and I twinkered with the sliders last night and lost 6-3, which is good. have you seen low scoring games and then any obscene high scoring games?

Yes I have played a 1-0 game between the Astros and the Cards and many other 2-1, 3-2 game. But here is an example of how good this game can be with these sliders, yesterday played me as the Tigers vs the Cubs, Rogers vs Zambrano. I lead off the game with a HR with Granderson and added on 1 more with a few doubles. That was all my scoring they shut me down after that. Rogers dominated the Cubs all game, I allowed only 3 hits over 7 innings with 6 K's. I got in trouble in the 8th with 1 on and 1 out with Soriano at the plate, I started warming up Zumaya and let Rogers pitch to Soriano since I struck him out twice already. Well he works the count full and I hang a slider that he hits into the seats in left. Score tied bottom 8th, Sheffield drives in a run with a base hit, I take the lead 3-2. I bring in Jones to close it out in the 9th. He comes in and I hit the first batter then walk the second. 1st and 2nd nobody out. His composure was at 1 and I proceed to hang pitch after pitch and the cubs unloaded for 4 in the 9th no runs scored on HRs and they beat me 6-3. One of the best games I have played.

These look good Dan I will give them a try tonight, if I get a chance. My gaming has been cut down lately. I have a 6 week old daughter that tends to cry everytime I try to fire up the 360.

I know that feeling I have a 19 month old son that sleeps 11 hours a night but always seems to wake up and start making a fuss just as I sit down with a beer in front of the 360. Let me know how it goes.

Word, sounds like a good game, and the type of games that I have, I was just wondering, coz my phillies are near the bottom of the league in runs scored, and you know, the phillies score a lot of runs. So I was just wondering if you have seen games like 9-4, or whatever.

Yeah I have had game where I have killed the CPU, I was up 11-0 with Boston aganist the Yanks in the 4th a couple of days ago. Each game seems to be different which is nice and realistic.

These sliders look good and I plan to give them a try later today. I would just like to know if you're getting a good variety with where you hit the ball (since you dont use the L stick). I just don't want every hit to be up the middle or to Left/Right center.

Alright I got a chance last night to get in 2 games with these sliders:
Game 1

Really fun game I had a 6-5 lead heading into the bottom of the 9th and T. Jones blew the game for me. I walked the first batter hit the second and then the Twins got 3 hits in a row. I finally took him out and got 3 straight outs. I scored 1 in the 9th and had 2 men on and Sheff K to end the game.
Using Zone pitching is really fun I actually walked 4 and I also drew 5 walks!
I really like that there where only 3 hrs hit also, both teams worked for there runs. The only negative I see is the batting averages where a little high.

Again another good game! I lead the whol game scoring 3 in the top of the first. The D-Backs scored solo runs in the 4th and 5th. Maddux ran out of juice with a 3-2 lead in the 7th. Bottom of the 8th the Snakes scored 2 on a Tracey 2 run bomb with 2 outs and a 3-2 count. I basically threw a meat pitch, with zone pitching I tend to throw meat pitches every once in a while.
Top of the ninth I got the first 2 guys on and they took out R.Johnson and their closer struck me out and then got M.Giles to hit in a DP.
Again I walked 3 and hit one batter, while I drew 2 walks and was also hit once. I am pretty happy with these sliders, I am going to play a couple more games tonight using both teams #3 starters and see what kind of results I get.

Dan - big fan of your previous slider set - can't wait to try the new ones - do you get alot of hit variations using classic hitting without using the L stick? Tried High Heat's set last night and using the pull and release method on the hit stick only gave me hits up the middle or in the gaps - nothing down the lines, etc. - HH's sliders were great except for hit variety - let me know what you are experiencing. Thanks.

In my 2 games with these last night I did get a pretty good hit variety. One of my HRS ever hit the foul pole.

I'm also curious about the variety of hits and homeruns without using the left stick.

I've been experimenting with sliders that have contact around 15-30 and power at 0. I notice i still jack too many homeruns when using the pull or power functions of the left stick. I also haven't really experienced (m)any extra base hits or deep fly balls without using the left stick since the power settings are so low.

I'm at work now but I'l try out your sliders without using the left stick when i get home. I'm curious to see if i will be getting accurate numbers of HRs and extra base hits as well as balls batted to the left or right thirds of the field.
