OK, I have changed the sliders to their FINAL #. When setting these set each slider from 0. As for the PATCH effecting these Sliders I can't say because I haven't downloaded the PATCH as I'm still @ work

So you have Meat pitch at 10 and not 0 now??

Yeah, that's the default # @ LEGEND. Even with it @ 10, you won't be able to tell if it's a MEAT PITCH unless you have the MEATBALL Indicator: ON in your personal settings.

Hey Joe,
I am sorry for the possible inconvenience but can you send me the original sliders with the plus and minus numbers. Counting from zero is a pain with no numbers for the sliders so can you pm me the originals from the first post.

DieHard, some of the #'s were off. Then to top it off I saved over the Sliders with the value #'s I had on my computer... Sorry man. Not having exact #'s is really a pain in da butt.

So just to check, when these sliders are put in correctly, should you see "Custom-A" or "Custom-P?" I am seeing "Custom-P."

They should say CUSTOM-A @ the top.

BTW my losing ways continue as I played a game against the ROYALS. After tying the game in the 9th with 2 runs, I end-up losing on 2 dumb plays. 1st tailor made un-assisted DP. So what happens, Cano goes to touch 2nd & Jeter is standing in his way & they crash into each other everyone is SAFE. Next batter hits a line-drive to RF Abreu run towards the ball & the ball hits him on the tip of his glove & rolls to the wall.

GAME OVER Losing streak now @ 8 games in a row

Post Patch I must say the games plays a lot better in all areas. I also saw somw a nice variety of hits from the CPU & myself with this slider set

They should say CUSTOM-A @ the top.

Hey joe... what does it mean when I have every slider set to the new settings except the 3 AI take strike sliders and it says CUSTOM-A at the top; but when I try to change any of the take strike sliders, it jumps to CUSTOM-P? Does it really matter? Do I have to start all over with setting the sliders? Let me know man. Thanks.

To be exact: I cannot move any of the take strike sliders over 48 without it jumping to CUSTOM-P. What should I do?

I zeroed out every slider and I still get CUSTOM-P whn its all said and done. I know I have the exact sliders Joe posted. But why is it always CUSTOM-P for me? Does it really matter since the sliders are the same?

How did you do your setup? did you zero out all your sliders first then entered joes #'s or did you zero out and change one at a time? i'm thinking that if you zero everything out at once it will cause it to go to custom p but if you do it 1 at time is should stay at custom A, this is just what I think, as I can't confirm it yet as my XBOX died and i'm waiting on my replacement.

any way it's just a thought.

How I did it was any slider that was less than 50, I started setting the slider from 0. Any slider that was more 50 I starting setting the slider from 100. If you do it this way everything will be correct & it will say CUSTOM-A @ the top.

This is exactly how I did it a couple nights ago and it worked fine, it read custom-a when I was done.

Now to the sliders, I have tried about every slider set on this board and posted my results with each set. I have even posted after trying a good set that I was sticking with them and playing my Reds franchise. Well this time I am truly done switching sliders sets as this new set is my favorite. I waited and played 10 games with this set before posting about them instead of only 2 or 3 games like I did with the other sets.
Anyway this set is great for me because I really have to wait for a good pitch and work the pitcher to hit. While pitching you must pitch a really good game and work the corners or you will get crushed.

Here are the stats from the 2 games I played last night, both vs CLE using CIN.

I fell down 3-0 after 1 inning and just could not hit off Cliff Lee, when I did hit the ball hard it was right at some one. I did score one in the 9th off a double by JR. I then loaded the bases with 1 out and Javy Valentine hit in a 6-4-3 DP.

This was the funnest game I have yet to play in the 80 plus games I have played of 2K8. Harrang pitched great for me and only allowed 1 run thru 8 innings. I walked the lead off man in the 9th up 4-1 and brought in a lefty to face Pronk. He hit a gap and made it 4-2. Next I bought in Cordero who struck 2 straight out and they allowed a base hit making it 4-3.
The damn ball was bouncing all over the place and I could not throw a strike to save my life, I walked two in a row. So its based loaded 2 outs in with a 4-3 lead when I got Casey Blake to hit a grounder to Brandon and win the game 4-3.
I scored 4 runs but only had 3 hits the whole game, the Tribe had 3 very costly errors. One was a dropped fly ball by Grady in CF with 2 outs and men on 2nd and 3rd that made the score 2-0 early. I did hit 1 HR with Dunn in the 5th, it was a bomb that traveled 442 ft.

This is exactly what I set-out to do in reference to AI Pitching. These sliders will force you to be patient, but it also rewards you for being patient & if your not patient @ the plate you will have a hard day @ the office...

In reference to User Pitching, you will have to mix up your pitches. This doesn't only mean speed it also means location. The AI will may you pay if you go to the well a little to much.
