We need to boost both the cpu and human offense!
I played 3 more games last night with these in my Reds season.
I won with scores of 2-1, 3-1, and 1-0.
Both of the runs scored by the cpu where via solo HRS.
There is just no threats at all by the cpu and I am not pitching with great pitchers.
Last night Arroyo allowed a solo hr to Manny in the first and then I retired 21 batters in a row, the Dodgers had 2 total hits.
And it is almost just as bad for me when I am batting.
I have now played 9 games in my season with this set and I have hit 2 total hrs.
I get plenty of weak singles but no extra base hits at all.
I am not for sure if there are any sliders that will fix are problems, it is just to easy to pinpoint my pitches. Maybe we need to up the cpu contact?? I struck out the cpu 13, 12, and 11 times in the 3 games I played.

I use these sliders with the following changes:

Hum & CPU batting 35 contact 75 power
Hum Comp 50
Field speed 30 (hum & cpu)
pick off success 30
cpu steal success 40
Fatigue 75

I played my season opener last night Braves (me) vs the Cubs. I trailed most of the game 2-0 until I finally put some hits together to tie in the 7th. I then lost it in the top of the 9th on a 3 run shot off my setup guy (cant remember name) and I could not get anything in the bottom half.

With these I had a double by Jones but made a stupid base running mistake trying to tag up on fly ball and could not score early. The cpu did a good job of keep me off balance early with change ups and breaking pitches.

The Cubs pulled their pitcher in the 7th when I tied it, then again in the 8th and the 9th.

Overall these are good sliders and I twicked them to what I like and I am having a blast.

I finally reset my password so I could get back in here and comment!

I have played five games now of a franchise with the Pirates and have used the sliders as posted on page one.

Pitching has been a mixed bag. I was pretty dominant with my number 1-2 starters and had a serious decline since, which makes sense (especially with the Pirate rotation). I was pretty good at pitching in last year's game, so not really surprised that still can get a lot of K's here. I do have one question though...last game I turned on the pitch analysis after ever pitch and noticed that the "green zone" on the analysis was pretty large, giving a lot of room for error...so but that rationalle, IF you started with a default of All-Star, is that green zone smaller? That would seem to make pitching tougher. The other question was on the whole stamina reseting issue. While this occurs, my pitch meter still fills hella fast, so even though the numbers indicate a reset, are they really?

Hitting. Man I can't hit the side of a barn! I have made some contact and have 4 hr's in the five games, but for the most part my timing is horrible. I am used to zone and curser hitting though, and really miss that a lot. I don't like the idea of timing a hit perfectly, but due to background stats, it randomizing my results for me. I want to believe that there is more to the left stick than pop fly, grounder, inside and outside, but nobody seems to really know yet. Also, is there a way to see my batters hot/cold zones before each at bat so I know which area's of the strike zone to lay off of? I guess I have hoping in vain that the hitting system is similar to MVP. I also think that (for me) I should probably raise contact up a notch until I get a hold of this system.

Overall though, these sliders seem pretty good. I suck and my record is 2-3, but with the back end of the Pirate rotation, that makes sense. I also am having no luck stealing so thinking I either need to increase runner speed or decrease catcher throwout success.

One quick question. People keep saying that "when the patch comes out" that much will be fixed...has 2K even confirmed that there is a patch in the works? Obviously fielder arms and the pitcher stamina are paramount, but would be nice to see what else they have in mind (zone hitting, zone hitting, zone hitting!)

Yes. Ronnie2K on twitter is a spokesman and they had a forum thread on the 2K forums asking for input. They locked it on Friday and he said he submitted it to the devs. He expects the patch to be released mid-April so that's still a ways off.

Wow I think this sliders are pretty darn good. I played 2 games last night, in my Rangers chise, with these with no changes to them.

Pitching seems very good as it is hard for me to pin point pitches and i do end up walking people. I am also to draw walks when I am at bat too. Between the 2 games I think i must have drew like 6 walks. The arm strength seems to be toned down a bit, though still a bit strong. Animations seem to be smoother and stats are very realistic.
Here are the box scores from the 2 games:

Harden (Tex) vs Marcum (Tor)

Toronto 3 8 0
1 Double, 1 HR (Wells), 6 Singles
Texas 2 8 0
1 Double, 2 HRs (Hamilton, Kinsler), 5 Singles

I was up one going into the 9th and the Jays ended up getting 2 runs to take the lead and eventually the win. Marcum went 8 innings but I believe he was over 100 pitches (cant really remember). Overall very exciting game

Game 2: Feldman (Tex) vs McGowan (Tor)

Toronto 3 6 0
1 Double, 1 Triple, 1 HR (Overbay)
Texas 8 8 0
2 Doubles, 3 HRs (Davis 2, Saltalamacchia)

Another great game as I put up 4 runs in the 4th inning and 2 in the 5th to knock McGowan out of the game early. Feldman pitched strong, striking out 11 in only 6.1 innings of work. I was able to draw lots of walks and thats why my hits to runs ratio is really good.

Really liking how these sliders play the only thing if the AI doesnt start hitting more, like jake said above, might boost there offense a little. Other than that thanks a lot Joe!!

I played a franchise game with your sliders last night using the Astros against the Phillies. I the very best game played so far on this game, I hope that continues, because before last night I was getting very frustrated with the game. I also was more patient at the plate batting though. I put the pitch speed at 65 and with my old eyes I could see the balls and strikes better.

Nice Job. I hope that future games I play are just as good.

Up the CPU contact so you don't strike them out so much. User pitching is way too easy in this game so you really need to jack up the CPU hitting sliders so you fear throwing in the SZ. Thats the same problem I had. Also how are your scores that low. In the past three games I have scored 7, 10, and 12 runs. Hitting is way too easy so I started lowering sliers. I have Power at 30 and am still pumping out HR's and extra base hits. If hitting is too hard for you change some of the human batting settings. Your situation sounds a lot like mine until BFJ overhauled the sliders a couple days ago.

I just hit 2 HRs this morning with Avila and Scott Sizemore. I think your power outage is a personal issue. Maybe you need to jack up your Power slider or drop the cpu pitch success. I hope you find the right mix to hit HRs as only 2 in 9+ games is way too low. The Reds do have some pop.

ANNOYED.

Does this damn pitcher fatigue glitch happen in franchise mode too? It makes it not worth our time to work the count on pitchers if they're going to reset in the 5th (or perhaps 6th) inning every game. Had it happen in 3 straight "Spring Training" games.

No. I'm using my own but have taken some suggestions as well as the running sliders. I'm almost a cross between BFJ and Blazzen. I keep track of what other people do so when I struggle with something I can use someone else's solution. I actually turn pitch speed down one notch (55). 95% of the people on the forums would find it too slow but it helps me have a better eye and draw walks. I keep a spreadsheet handy to help keep track of some stuff (see spoiler for what I use).

Rudy, I notice you have a lower Pitcher Composure Influence for both Hum and CPU than others. Are you seeing a number of HRs or more hits and runs from the CPU due to this. I am wondering if this slider is reversed or screwed up in some way as higher seems to make things easier for me against the cpu.

I just think composure is overdone so I keep it low for both sides. I don't think pitchers get rattled that easily in real life but some guys like to keep it high to make pitching tougher. The higher the slider the harder it is to pitch when rattled although maybe you just get rattled sooner. Not sure anymore.

I really think the stamina issue is a cosmetic glitch. I saw it last the other day but the cpu still pulled their pitcher in the 7th. I also noticed that his control was not as good and his velocity was down. I noticed this for my pitcher as well. I jumped back to 99 stamina but my meter was so much quicker than it was early in the game. Just my $0.02.
