that some good stuff. I wanna test it so bad but I dont think ill stay awake forca full game. will try a diffrent matchup in my chise tomorrow maybe some AL action.

mk do you play franchise mode? I askd detroitstyle about the injury slider I remember he tested it last year. I am lovin this game even if 2k doesn't deliver a 2k13 I wouldn't mind using updated rosters on here

Re: mkharsh33 MLB 2K12 Sliders: Classic Hitting / Total Control Pitching

haven't dove into franchise mode yet. wanted to get a solid set of rosters done, as well as a base slider set. I feel good in that we have a set of sliders that are pretty much done and we're only 2 days into having the game. I started with my base set from last year, but was reminded that the "final" set I did for last year was following the patch that sped up the game. Unless something major gets patched this year, I might just skip it and stick with this (as I do NOT play online).

Good call on the INJURY slider... We'll need some guys to do some testing on that, so I'll rely on you guys that are into franchise mode. Thanks!

Much better game than my first try! This was played prior to the 4 new recent updates posted at 10:45

I hit back to back bombs with Uggla and McCann early, then got behind to them 6-4 when Uggla hit his second HR of the game (2 run shot) to tie the game at 6. Brian McCann followed with a double, and Jason Heyward hit a go ahead 2 run HR to seal the deal 8-6.

Very fun game, these don't feel like they need much more work, if any!

Very early into my franchise right now, but I can report that the injury slider is very touchy. If left at 40 or higher, you risk seeing an injury every single game. 39-25 still is a a bit frequent for my liking, so currently mine sits at 15. And there are still injuries to report (Andy Dirks on my team went down with a broken toe for a week or so and Alex Avila is still out with a strained calf.) These are my very early findings with that slider, though I am by no means a slider expert.

Note: I tested this through spring training. I started 5 different franchises (I only kept the one I'm currently playing lol) and set the slider at different places and watched injuries. 15 has given me the most realistic injury numbers thus far.

the stat totals end of season are a little low for pitcher wins batting avg and hr totals. I'm thinking lowering injuries might boost those, at least HRs but last year post patch he found 100 most realistic im sticking with 50 for now

              I added ONE update to page 1 - post 1 (3-8-12 at 11:15 pm):

              - Franchise Injury Slider: 15

(Credit and thanks to TheNumber35 for this find. If this needs changed we'll update it later, but seems like a good find! Thanks!).

Re: mkharsh33 MLB 2K12 Sliders: Classic Hitting / Total Control Pitching

Just finished up what was one of the most strangest, yet fun, games I've played in a while.

                Detroit Tigers(me) vs. Cleveland Indians(CPU)

                Indians 0 2 0 0 5 0 0 0 0 (7/14/2) L: J.Mastersom
                Tigers 0 7 0 0 0 0 2 0 X (9/11/2) W: J.Verlander S:J.Valverde

                Verlander: 7.1 IP, 13 H, 7 R, 6 ER, 1 BB, 8 SO
                Masterson: 7.0 IP, 11 H, 9 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 1 SO(yes, 2 earned on 9 runs...)

                Recap:
Verlander started out strong, striking out 3 in the first followed by me struggling to make contact in the bottom of the 1st. Then the 2nd came.... I, the Tigers, were at bat with a man on second(who original reached on an error) and 2 outs, and the inning looked over. Then SEVEN straight batters reached base, one by error. Hit after hit rained down, and before I knew it I was up to a 7-2 lead and coasting to an easy victory. 11 batters came to the plate in the crazy bottom of the 2nd.
In the 5th, I wasn't really worried when the bases were loaded against Verlander- until a grand slam put the Indians within 1. Two hits later the game was tied.
I collected my cool and scored two easy ones off Masterson in the 7th and never looked back.

                Notes:
Masterson settled in after the 2nd and retired something like 13 straight batters.
At one point, Masterson had 60% sinkers and 0% fastballs thrown. Perhaps this is typical of him but it struck me as odd.
The amount of balls bobbled seemed abnormally high, but this was a small sample size.
One walk was intentional, the other a hit batter. I need to work on taking pitches/walks better, as well as not being afraid to walk a batter sometimes.

Overall, VERY fun and exciting game. Strange that I got these results compared to others who struggled at first with hitting, because just yesterday I was struggling to hit well on Pro difficulty and these were my first time with the sliders. I'm definitely need to play more games and get a larger sample size than just this game. I will post more (and shorter) updates over the weekend. Great work mkharsh!

EDIT: This game was played with the sliders given BEFORE the 10:45 update, in which you fixed some of my issues. Great job

one last thing before I call it a night. I played 2 full games vs ATL and saw 1 steal attempt. mlb teams average 1 steal attempt per game and are CS 0.25 per game. I don't see anyone else mentioning cpu steals something I have my eye on

From what I've noticed, the CPU is attempting about 1 steal a game...more or less depending on the team. Seattle has been attempting a lot of steals in the series I'm playing, but that's because their speed guys are getting on base. Texas on the other hand didn't attempt many (partially because they were destroying me almost the entire series lol.) Overall though, I've been alright with the steals against me since I've picked up these sliders

3 new updates... Friday, March 9th, 3:10 am

I believe I have now found the "perfect" sliders for this game. Just played an awesome game that I lost in 10 innings: Twins (cpu) at Mariners (me). I lost 7-6 in 10 innings. Both teams had 11 hits. I had 3 homeruns and the cpu had 2 doubles, 2 triples and 1 homer. Lost it in the bottom of the 10th - bad bullpen. Game was so realistic it was insane!!!

                      Updates:

                      - raise user pitcher composure influence from 35 to 45
                      - lower user outfield run speed from 20 to 10
                      - lower user infield run speed from 20 to 10

If you don't like the user pitching, just tweak to fit your needs and abilities. It's much harder now, but for you experienced guys you'll find this to be ideal. You can still strike guys out and hit your spots, but it won't be as easy.

One last note before I head to bed... I can CONFIRM that you CAN check-swing by double-tapping the A Button (360). I pulled it off a few times. VERY COOL!!!

It is! I love that it works now. And I love how it cuts to the first, or third base umpires and they say whether you went around or not. I've had it happen to the CPU while I was pitching, and I've had it happen to me while batting.

I haven't played 2K baseball since 2K7. I'm also coming from MVP2005. How in the blue hell do I pitch? Every time I pitch, it says weak or wild pitch. Do I let LS go after doing the RS movements? Do the RS movements need to be fast or slow?

I was only able to play 1 inning w/ these so far. Batting is very fun w/ having to choose your spots.

                              Stupid question here...

Does lowering the pitcher fatigue to 40 make them fatigue faster or slower?

Very nice job man I am having great games with these. About the only thing I have had to tweak is the user pitch control. At 15 I just walk too much.

I thought I was going to have a problem with too many errors (had 4 in first game) but it seems that was just a bad game we will see after a play a bit more.
