Don't know this for a fact, but I believe as soon as you move the RS to start the pitch, what you're doing with the LS becomes irrelevant (i.e. the location "locks" as soon as you move the RS). I think I usually just let it go.

Re: mkharsh33 MLB 2K12 Sliders: Classic Hitting / Total Control Pitching
I just had a game against Luke Hochevar and Kansas City with a nice little quirk to it...I drew 5 walks off the starter, and 3 in one inning. He was getting really tired and missing the zone a lot, so I was taking pitches and fouling off tough ones to get the BB's. Good game overall that I won 3-1 behind my boy Jacob Turner haha.
Mk, these sliders are seriously great and I think they are just about perfect (3 or 4 days after the game comes out, that's pretty good)Check out my Houston Astros Dynasties:

Re: mkharsh33 MLB 2K12 Sliders: Classic Hitting / Total Control Pitching
I'm gonna give these a try, I'm starting to feel all star default is to easy for my Yankees franchise. I'm 15-2, has anyone tried these with analog hitting? I'd like to stick to that if the sliders still work well with that setting.Comment

Re: mkharsh33 MLB 2K12 Sliders: Classic Hitting / Total Control Pitching
I use it, and it works just fine. I'm 16-9 with my Tigers in my franchise using these sliders (although I'm on my way to 16-10 right now haha, the White Sox jumped on Verlander for 5 earned in the 1st 2 innings)Check out my Houston Astros Dynasties:

Good to hear the analog setting still works good, about to try it in a play now game. But Verlander giving up 5 in the first 2 innings? Damn lolComment

Well he didn't give up anymore after that haha. I lost 6-2 and Gavin Floyd dominated me, allowing 3 hits and the two earned runs.Check out my Houston Astros Dynasties:

Re: mkharsh33 MLB 2K12 Sliders: Classic Hitting / Total Control Pitching
Absolutely loving how random this game is with these sliders.
Last 3 games were completely different.
Game 1
Nats (me) vs Astros (cpu)
I won 10-2. I had 13 hits they had 7.
I worked the count like crazy against Brett Myers getting him to walk me 6 times and got 4 hits off of him but only scored 1 run in 4 innings because they got a crazy amount of double plays.
They brought in Lucas Harrell and I got him out of the game in 2/3 of an inning after scoring 3 runs.
Same with Zach Duke. I scored 5 runs off of him in 1 2/3 innings.
I scored one more off of Sergio Escalona.
Jordan Zimmerman was on it going 6 IP giving up 5 hits 2 runs (both unearned) with 7 K's.
Henry Rodriguez closed it out going 3 IP giving up 2 hits with 3 K's.
Game 2
This one was crazy.
Red Sox (me) vs Twins (cpu)
Twins won 14-11. Twins had 21 hits and I had 14.
The scored 4 in the first off of Alfredo Aceves. I was hanging every breaking pitch with him. I had to take him out after 1 1/3.
I came back and scored 3 in the second. 4-3 at this point.
They scored 1 in the 4th and 4 in the 5th.
I scored 2 in the bottom of the 5th. Score was 9-5.
The killed me in the top of the 7th scoring 5. 14-5 at this point and I was just going through the motions expecting a lop-sided loss.
But in the bottom of the 7th I also scored 5 making it 14-10.
I only managed one more run in the 9th to finish 14-11.
They crushed everything I threw at them.
Game 3
I was thinking that I might need to tweak user batting because I scored 10 and 11 in the first two games but I left it alone. Glad I did.
Nats (me) vs Astros (cpu) again.
They won 2-0.
They completely shut me out as I only got 2 hits in the game against a combo of Jordan Lyles, Henry Sosa, Fernando Rodriguez and Wilton Lopez.
The only offense in the game was a Carlos Lee 2 run homer in the 3rd as Edwin Jackson was pretty good.
Overall, 3 different types of games. Maybe a tweak here and there to get my modified set perfect for me but they are 99% perfect for me.

Re: mkharsh33 MLB 2K12 Sliders: Classic Hitting / Total Control Pitching
So I tried these out, I could tell right off the bat I needed to adjust a few settings to my comfort. Overall it does feel more challenging now which I like. I'm gonna give it a few more test games to judge any other adjustments I might need to make for myself but great sliders overall.Comment

I just had a great game with this sliders! Won 4-2 braves vs astros, 9 hits per team, errors 1-0, walks 3-2, strikeouts 8-6, HR 1-0
Awesome!
Thanks for the incredible job like every other year!

Re: mkharsh33 MLB 2K12 Sliders: Classic Hitting / Total Control Pitching
I started franchise with Phillies so this is my review of first ten games of grapefruit league. I only played 2 or 3 games in 2k12 before franchise so I'm still adjusting to these sliders and tweaking them just a little bit to suit my needs (pitch control 30). After 10 games my score is 3-7 although I played against some tough teams (Red Sox, Tigers, Rays, Blue Jays, 3 times against Yankees...). These are the numbers:
batting 10 games
77 hits, 0.221, 31 runs, 7 2B, 4 3B, 7 HR, 9 walks, 69 strikeouts
Ryan Howard 12/33, .364, 1HR, 4 RBI, 9 K, 0 BB
Domonic Brown 5/14, .357, 2 HR, 1 3B, 6 RBI, 4 K, 0 BB, 1/1 SB
Shane Victorino 10/32, .313, 1 HR, 1 3B, 2 RBI, 7 K, 3 BB, 1/1 SB
Juan Pierre 4/13, .308, 2 RBI, 0 K, 1 BB, 2/2 SB
Jim Thome 5/27, .185, 2 HR, 7 RBI, 8 K, 1 BB
Chase Utley (6 games) 9/19, .474, 1 3B, 1 RBI, 0/1 SB
Jimmy Rollins 5/35, .143, 1 3B, 2 RBI, 7 K, 1 BB, 1/1 SB
Placido Polanco 3/29, .103
John Mayberry Jr., 1/24, .042, 1 HR
Hunter Pence, 9/34, .265
pitching 10 games
4.75 ERA, 1.35 WHIP, 61 K, 21 BB, .280 avg, 99 hits, 16 2B, 8 3B, 15 HR
Roy Halladay 12 IP, 5.25 ERA, 1.25 WHIP, 9 K, 6 BB, 0.205, 1 HR
Cliff Lee 13 IP, 6.92 ERA, 1.62 WHIP, 10 K, 1 BB, 0.364, 3 3B, 3 HR
Cole Hamels 14 IP, 2.57 ERA, 0.93 WHIP, 17 K, 1 BB, 0.226, 2 HR
Vance Worley 13.1 IP, 2.03 ERA, 0.98 WHIP, 7 K, 2 BB, .220 1 3B, 1 HR
Joe Blanton 10.1 IP, 6.10 ERA, 1.55 WHIP, 3 K, 3 BB, .310 1 3B, 2 HR
fielding: 8 errors, .978 fielding % (autofielding off), cpu in average has 1 error per game
running: 5 steals from 6 attempts (autorunning on)
I mix teams a lot, use full roster of 40 players. Was desperate after 3 game series against yankees, I was 1-6 at this point, and I was blown out in 3rd game 12-2 with 6 homers (granderson 2, jeter 2, gardner 1, don't remember the sixth, in 2nd games of the series Hiroki Kuroda solo HR!!!). I won against Tampa Bay and Toronto and I blew out Astros 8-1 with almost all reserves on my team (Domonic Brown hit a grand slam). I like these sliders a lot and I hope with practice in spring training when season begins I'll start winning like Phillies do in real life. And one last thing, I had one injury (slider is on 15) in these 10 games. Chase Utley sprained wrist trying to steal 2nd base, he's now on DL 15 days.Comment

Re: mkharsh33 MLB 2K12 Sliders: Classic Hitting / Total Control Pitching
For example a fastball you need to pull the stick down and load up the power and then directly up. If for say instead of going up you go up right it might become a bad gesture and your pitch won't be accurate.
The bad part can be as small as overshooting a turn on a circle change or not going far enough. Just remember that after you have collected powers you don't have to go as fast as possible, just turn the stick in a good pace and there is less chance of your thumb derping up.Comment

Re: mkharsh33 MLB 2K12 Sliders: Classic Hitting / Total Control Pitching
JUst a quick question about these Sliders. How hard are they? Looking at all the Statsm they seem like they are meant for a Very Good Player. I'm very bad at hitting so just wondering if I should give these a shot. More than likely I will anyways saying I printed all the stats for later.Comment

Re: mkharsh33 MLB 2K12 Sliders: Classic Hitting / Total Control Pitching
I'd say these sliders are meant for pretty good players. Especially the user controlled pitching. They are no joke. If you can't pitch very well the computer will hit the ball quite a bit.
These user hitting sliders are also on an All-Star comparable setting so hitting shouldn't be that easy and patience at the plate should help.Comment
