That is correct. Once you are in Dynasty mode, the only way to change someone's contract is to renegotiate with them. Simply editing the players attributes will have no effect on how much money they make.

    Here's graphical evidence.

My example, Torii Hunter. Why? Not sure, just the one I chose. Anyways, here is his default salary if you start a Dynasty without having edited anything at all.

Then, within Dynasty mode, I knocked all of his attributes up to 100 or 99.

And his salary within that same Dynasty comes to? The exact same as it was.

Now, what does doing the same thing to his attributes outside of Dynasty mode to do his salary?

Pretty significant increase, wouldn't you say?

Now, for giggles, what is Torii actually worth according to EA's formula? Well, I went into player editor outside of Dynasty mode, changed his number to 50 and that was it, and here's his salary upon starting a new Dynasty.

Good illustration of the point I was going to make. Some contracts don't change, some do if you edit your rosters before starting a dynasty dynasty.

Either way you go, it's nice to have the freedom to change. No more restarting dynasties for me after investing hours and hours.

Chalk this up as one of the dumb threads of the month. I cant for the life of me figure out why anyone would'nt want more options.

Maybe he's just trying to avoid the temptation. Maybe if he found more people like him that were tempted to cheat, they could gather their combined efforts to start an AA like group to stop them from altering their players...

LMAO. I actually understand him. Some ppl cant go without cheating or doctoring up they're players.

This reminds me of the free agent bug in NBA Live 2004. You cant help but wonder why you're able to sign the best players in the league all for minimum contracts. You know its cheating/unfair but since the game allows it, you do nothing about it.

If you don't want to "cheat" then don't. If you do want to cheat, well go nuts, it's your game.

I like this for one reason:

When a minor leaguer is on fire and gets called up in real life...BAM...I can edit him to improve his stats and make him actually a MLB talent, not 52 contact 28 power, with 70 fielding and 60 throwing strength/accuracy.
