I never understood that argument. It makes no sense. Isn't the goal to win as many games as possible?

I never did either. Making the playoffs comes down to simple math, to me. If you get to 95 wins, you'll probably make the playoffs. Wins vs teams with bad records count the same as wins vs teams with good records.

And it's not like football where you only play 16 games and 1 loss against a bad team can kill you. If the teams the Yanks are beating are so bad, why isn't everyone sweeping those teams? And I didn't hear any complaints when the Yanks lost 3 of 4 to Tampa....

Actually...after that series, Bernie was sent to the bench, Womack to left and Giambi, potentially to the minors. And that was the Yankees management's reaction. I live in New York, and there were a lot of people on rooftops looking to leap

It is, definitely. The thing is.. will the Yankees revert to two-three weeks ago once the competition gets better, or do they have the confidence now to start playing .600 ball the rest of the way? That's why the Yankee haters are questioning the win streak.

Oh, my gosh... I've just had an epifany (sp?)... it seems that when a team is struggling, the fans of that team ACTUALLY POST LESS... it seems they stay away, with their heads in the sand perhaps. Not only this have I discovered, but when a team does well, the fans of that team THEY POST MORE OFTEN. Often times taunting the fans of their recently defeated opponents.

Fascinating.

Myself, only when the Beavers are kicking major PCL butt do I post, otherwise I'd be worried people would notice I was posting when my team wasn't winning. Could be embarrassing.
