Re: Max Kellerman just reported on espn radio
Originally posted by Longhorn6I'd love to get Dunn and sign him long term because he would flourish in Fenway, but I still don't like having to give up on Hanley so early in his career, especially if we would give him to a division foe who, if they increased their payroll and actually tired to get amazing players, would challenge for the division.Comment

Re: Max Kellerman just reported on espn radio
Honestly, if this trade does happen, I could see Omar offering one of the 2bs (Lugo, Cairo, Matsui) and Floyd for Soriano. I don't think Floyd can play RF. Omar has a something brewing further that will involve Floyd.Comment

yeah and that was not true... look at espn article by starks that said that the mets never balked at the trade last night cuz of money. the snag was cuz of milledge... so you and the daily news was wrong... this will get done and you will be the only met fan sucking his thumb that you wanted the great heilman and milledge lead us into the future..Comment

An official with one of the three teams told ESPN.com that the Mets never walked away from the deal Friday night over money. Rather, it was over their reluctance to let go of Lastings Milledge, one of their top prospects. Saturday, however, the Mets have softened on that stance.Comment

Re: Max Kellerman just reported on espn radio
Originally posted by SquintSo you believe one media outlet (The Daily News) over another (ESPN)? The link you yourself posted said it was not money that stalled the deal, rather it was who else the Mets did/didn't want to include.
Thank You very much Squint.. thats what i told him yesterday and today but he says that he knows for sure that its the money.. well jayson starks and steve phillips on espn said that it is not the money its milledge..
if the mets give milledge which they should this trade should get done..Comment

Re: Max Kellerman just reported on espn radio
Originally posted by DuffysCliffOh sure you don't want to give up the 10th best prospect in baseball, but then again, prospects don't always turn into what they're suppose to be, especially tools based kids like Hanley. Right now, Dunn has 30 home runs, and hit 46 last year. He's also 25. Plus he gets on base at a good clip, and listening to all the WEEI caller complaining about how he strikes out all the time and how hes awful would be fun too. If we can get Huff, Cameron and Dunn for Hanley, Manny and whoever else, its a no brainer.Comment

Picci dont listen to FootballFoever.. he wants heilam and milledge to lead the mets into the future instead of going for the wild card and for it all next season with manny.. he thinks manny is a baby but pedro was never a baby in boston right?
the mets need manny to help the offense.. and baez is a solid player for the pen.. how in the world can football forever think that this is not a good trade for the mets is beyond me..Comment

Originally posted by FootballForeverWhy Make Flyod move, if we get Manny, you move his **s to RF, he's wants out so bad I'm sure he can play RF, wait he can;t play the feild at all.
That makes sense.Comment

Re: Max Kellerman just reported on espn radio
Originally posted by SquintSo make the guy having a career year (Floyd) happy while pushing a future HOF out of position whose "off-year" is still better than Floyd's best year?
That makes sense.
that just shows the baseball knowledge that F.F has... he rather compensate floyd instead of a hall of famer like manny... i mean manny is a hundred times better then floyd. left field is manny and beltran in center and floyd in right..
learn the game F.FComment

Re: Max Kellerman just reported on espn radio
Originally posted by FootballForeverDon't put words in my mouth, I don't care if either Heilman or Milledge go, All I said was I Don't think it's worth it after being 7 games out of First. If that the case the Rangers wanted Milledge in the first place for Soriano, and If Texas would take Both Heilman and Milledge for Soriano I would do that in a heartbeat, but to take on Manny's 64 million, So If I'm the only Mets fan that say's Keep Manny in Boston then so be it, Like I said to me it's just not worth it. Get Soriano or Dunn and call it a day.
its not your money ... and manny is much better then dunn and soriano...
manny makes the mets better. and forget the division we want the wild card. only 4 games out..Comment
