so you are telling me that heilman will be the ace of this staff.. lol.. look pelfrey and humber may not be stars but i can tell you that they cant be any worst then heilman...

they both throw harder and have nasty stuff if you read their profiles.. heilman has been with the mets for a bi already and he cant even crap this staff.. i mean the mets brought in ishi to be there 5th starter. that tells you right there that they dont see heilman as an ace.. lol.. give me a break man.. the mets are dumb if they dont trade heilman for manny.. manny solves what ailes the mets right now which is hitting.. who they going to get if not manny to help this lineup which would be worst next year without piazaa..

you guys think that lastings milledge and aaron heilman are going to lead this team to the promise land this year or next season..

manny makes the mets dangerouns now and next year and the year after that..

aaron heilman is not going to be a great pithcer.. i know it takes time but he is 26 and has yet to show that he will be a good pitcher.. this year he cant crack the staff and last year he stunk as the starter...

with trachel back where is he going to fit in on the staff..

you rather keep heilman on the pen instead of having manny come here and help the mets line up which is the reason they stink now... they can hit... they can pitch and its not cuz heilman is good is cuz they got plenty of pithcers who can pitch.

well sorry you are in the minority here with your thoughts.... most met fans calling wfan radio right now as i am typing are all saying that they want manny.. not one has said otherwise... so i guess you are the only smart met fan...

I must be, 1. Your saving 64 Million Dollars
2. your kepping your best prospects
3. Your staying away from a Jerk of a player. WHo thinks he's god and plays when he think it's right for him. And a guy who may take some time out to piss in the middle of an ininng to piss in the Mets picnic area, like he did in Boston.
4. Your would be trading for a guy who has a huge contract when your 7 games out of first and the Braves are and will just run away with it like always while we sit and say damn we suck, and thats with Manny on the team.

Dude I hear ya, but your making it sound like Manny is Babe Ruth Or somthing, he may come to the NL and stink it up, then what will you say, the Mets aren't winning this year, even if Manny comes, your making it sound like it's a lock for us to win, news flash it's no lock. Ofcurse he will bring pop to the lineup but he's not a saver.

yea and heilman scares teams right... dude the mets dont have great pitchers. they have solid pitchers.. the mets pitching has not been the problem this year..

do you even watch the mets bro.. the mets cant scrore.. they cant get a clutch hit.. nobody protects beltran in the lineup...

pedro and benson are solid and glavine is ok and zambrano is good and trachel is good to.. they are not great except for pedro but they get the job done.. the mets pitching is solid.. their bats suck...

I still don't get how you can rave about that pitching staff. pedro is dominating still..but glavine isn't his old self, benson is serviceable, but Zambrano and Tracshel don't really strike fear into players.

Manny isn't your savior man. He's good in Boston because he's surrounded by good Talent and people who get on base. You're saying yourself the current line-up sucks, Manny wont save it.

but manny has hit all his life wher ever he plays.. in cleveland and in boston.. and he would be the best hitter the mets have.. and he is good for another 3 years.. i mean he is a machine man.. he has 91 rbi's so far.. he will help the mets lineup.... how?

well beltran goes to number 2 and will have more fastballs to hit cuz manny hits 3rd.

the mets have wright and reyes... young and solid. but the mets are not paying pedro and beltran all that moeny to wait for milledge and heilaman to prove they can play.. they wan to win now and in the next 2-3 years and manny helps the cause big time.. you think the braves wont fear the mets with that line up.. and i am not saying we will win this year. but we can make a small run.. and next year the mets will be even better... think about that..

I hear everything your saying, Man I'm a huge Mets fan and so are you, I just wouldn't pull the plug on this deal, grated Manny is one of baseball greatest hitters, there just to much bagadge thats come with him, High payroll and pissy attatuide. Plus the Braves would never fear the Mets with or without Manny, The beaves beat the mets so much that the Yankees can switch uni's with the Mets and the Braves would still not be scared of the Mets. The Mets need to beat the braves first, a lineup on paper will do nothing to the braves.....lol
