You're agreeing with the part about the trade being dead for the time being, something you claimed wasn't true.

Your pitching staff has Pedro and Glavine, they're not going t be around much longer, and Heilman is young and will be the future when those two guys hang it up.

I know. Vlad is amazing. He used to be a big SB threat as well. He is down after some recent injuries though I think. I just thought in Houston's 2 spot CB was so good, but you are right. 1 year is not better than the bunch of years Vlad has had.

hitting a snag does not mean the trade is dead.. it means that there is something that is holding up the trade.. of course if the mets dont give them heilman then the deal is off. but the mets hold the cards here... i said that the mets are the ones who can make this with heilman.. its all about the mets right now... and pedro and glavine may be older but if you dont follow the mets dont come here and say that heilman is the future. heilman is an average pitcher. he has stunk the last few outings.. he cant even crap the rotaion where we have a crappy pitcher with ishi... heilman wont be with the mets next year you can count on that.. he will be gone now or in the off season. steve trachel is coming up so we can get rid of heilman.

I love how the Red Sox hold ALL the chips now. Every team now has to suit the Red Sox needs and desires, usually it is the other way around.

The only part that is better than all this is that the Red Sox sit in 1st place right now, have an extremely desireable chip to move, have a very desireable farm system, and have a shot to win it all again in 2005.

Good. Times. I'm supremely confident Theo will end up with the winning hand (again) when it's all said and done. I wouldn't worry if I were a Red Sox fan this evening..

yea but besides this year being a down year for patterson he has done good in the past. give me the last time heilman was good... umm never... he cant even crap the starting staff.. kaz ishi is the starter over him.. and when heilman comes in from the pen he gets hit lately a lot..

listen to wfan radio right now.. all met fans are calling saying that heilman has to go if boston wants him..

boston wants another player from the mets and the guy covering the mets\... his name is ed coleman said that boston wants a player who the mets see as important to them.. at first it was reported that it was looper but now they are saying that it is heilman..

Dude please give it a break already, We don't need Manny and I'm sure there are a lot of Die Hard Mets fan's like me who don't want Manny either. The snag in the trade is the Mets don't want to pay that HUGE contract of manny's and it may not make the Aproval of the leauge for it to get done by sunday with the Lugary Tax issue. Thats what i'm hearing the snag is, If I'm the Mets I kepp my young players and just move on, It's not like If Manny is on the Mets were going anyhwhere this year anyway, I rather have Sori instead.

sori.. are you kidding me.. i like sori but he is no manny.. and you cant say that the prospects are going to be any good. the mets have pedro and beltran and some veterans. they can go for it in the next couple of years..

i mean we have pelfrey and humber who will be the aces of this staff in the future. heilman is not.. and if heilman craps the staff it will be as a 4th or 5th starter. this is manny who will make the mets legit now and next year..

I never said Heilman was going to be the ace.. I said he'd be the future, and you agree. He'll be in the rotation once pedor/glavine retire, and the mets realize that they wont have the money to dish out for starters and trading away heilman and petit gets rid of two future starters.

agreed, Manny just isn't worth it right now anyway, with being 7 games out he's no saver, just a headache.

                          Settle down children....

Anyways I agree that Manny would be the biggest help in getting the Mets back to the playoffs. As many keep saying, Pedro is only going to be around 2 more years at most after this year... and only with Pedro as your ace are you guys going to be able to win in the playoffs. You don't really have time to wait for your prospects to develop if you see it as Pedro is your best shot at winning... meaning that you have to add a big player now to help move things along.

so you are telling me that heilman will be the ace of this staff.. lol.. look pelfrey and humber may not be stars but i can tell you that they cant be any worst then heilman...

they both throw harder and have nasty stuff if you read their profiles.. heilman has been with the mets for a bi already and he cant even crap this staff.. i mean the mets brought in ishi to be there 5th starter. that tells you right there that they dont see heilman as an ace.. lol.. give me a break man.. the mets are dumb if they dont trade heilman for manny.. manny solves what ailes the mets right now which is hitting.. who they going to get if not manny to help this lineup which would be worst next year without piazaa..

dude listen to me.. pedro and glavine and benson.. and zambrano.. the fifth spot is being held by ishi who is garbage. and heilman cant crap this staff as the fifth.. i mean by the time we lose glalvine and pedro heilman will be 30 years old and yet to be the starter.lol and we are getting trachel next month so there is no chance of this kid getting in the rotation... learn your facts first... he is 26 and has yet to show that he can be in the mets rotation.. if you cant beat ishi then you dont deserve to start... and the mets will have money cuz piazza is gone and so is his 16 million a year contract... and the mets will have their own tv channel like the yankees which will bring more money...
