well its not a bad deal for the sox.. cuz look at what buster said.. he said that they will get rid of a huge chunk of payroll and will try and get something done huge also before the deadline cuz they can afford it. or they can get players with all that money they will have.

aubrey huff is a good hitter and in fenway will hit a lot.. and cameron serves two purposes.. he right away improves their defense and is insurance since i think damon is going to the yankess next year to play center..

but the sox will then have a lot of money to go after players either through free agency or trades.. dont sleep on the sox here.

i being a huge yankee fan love this cuz this improves our chances but i can see that they improve their defense and the yanks have not. boston sitll has hitting and if they can get their pitchers right for the run they will be tough cuz they will have a great defensive team with clutch hitting and good pitching.. thats what u need bro.

the mets are giving up a lot.. i mean cameron is ok but lastings milledge and their other top pitching prospect is a lot to give for manny who is on the downside but still can hit. but in shea he will not hit as much.. but they do get baez from tampa who is solid for their pen.

Bad trade IMO. Huff peaked the last few years and I don't see him getting above the numbers he got. Cammy gives you D and a decent bat. Worst of all, the Sawx don't even adress their Bullpen woes. Horrible deal IMO. Goodbye David Ortiz's protection.

Manny is being a cancer in the clubhouse. I can see why the Sox wanna get rid of him. The Mets though why would they? He can't play D in the outfield, and it's not like their offense is anemic. They need some bullpen help.

I don't buy him being a cancer. I just think Manuel is a diva and needs to be cuddled more than other players. He seems to be on his period now so I would think they after a few days things would've settled.

Why? He spit in the face of the organization by not playing when they needed him to, and demanding a trade through the press. That is all indications of a cancer. He could have delt with this internally, but no being selfish he goes through the media. Not a good idea when you are trying to defend a WS title, and hold off the Yanks, and O's in the East.

You ere almost right, but there was No Heilman included in this deal at all, PLus as Of 9:57pm here in NY the DEAL IS DEAD right now. Read for yourself

If the Red Sox wanted to trade Manny, they would want someone that could fill his position and play WELL because they are in a pennant race. Cameron is not the fill-in I think Boston is really looking for. Right now, the only players are worth trading for Manny are Vladimir Guerrero and Albert Pujols. And they are getting neither.

The Mets are really looking like the Yankees if they trade Petit and Milledge for an aging star. Why make such a move when it's clear it won't get you any closer to a WS ring. They should just keep building their squad with young players and not adopt the Steve Phillips style of GM'ing.

Yes so for the idiot sox fan that came here posting it was dead dream on.. this will get done.. on wfan radio here in nyc which covers the mets.. the beat reporter just said after the mets game that the deal will get done but that the sox are asking the mets to take more of the money back. they dont want manny and the only team willing to take him is the mets. they have agreed to a 12pm deadline by saturday to make the deal and the beat reporter for the mets said that he received word from a boston and met official that they are close on the money exchanging hands and that heilman may be part of the deal going to boston but that its like 90 percent done.. so there ...

well you are the idiot cuz you are going for something posted and not for what jason stark just told buster.. the deal is not dead and the beat reporter for the mets said not more then 15 minutes ago that the deal will get done cuz the mets may end up giving up heilam as well.. so get all your facts before you post that the deal is dead
