I agree about the prospects not turning out like they should, and I'd be all for thi trade if we were giving him to someone outside of the AL East. EVen if it is the Devil Rays the core of young players they'll have after this trade is going to be amazing, and I don't want to see Hanley just adding fuel to what could be a dangerous team in a few years.

True, prospects might not turn out to be what people hoped for them to be, but we have to remember that the stars that are playing now in the big leagues, all had the "prospect" label and that means that you never know if you're gonna give up the next young stud.

Dunn's also what...8 years younger with a brighter future ahead of him than Manny has left? Not to mention he's gotta be at least 50 million dollars cheaper. I'd take Dunn/Soriano and the millions of dollars than manny.

Dude don't start the same crap like yesterday, Acting like you so smart, All I said I don't think it's worth it, and I think the Mets can find better options at this point, You Like Manny and I really don't care for him, thats it, no doubt Manny is one of MLB best hitters ever, but still doesn;t change my mind. It's just that you think if we get Manny we will win the WS, It's just ain't happening, we are still 2/3 away from that, and if manny comes maybe we get closer but He's not going to do it all himself like your making it sound like.

i never said that we will win a world series this year. but we can make a run.at the wild card.. and next year at a championship

there is no other options that will make the mets better. dunn no way.. soriano fine i would settle for sori... but thats it.. the free agency is horrible coming up... the mets need a jolt right now

To even claim that Dunn wouldn't make the Mets better is hilarious. He's got just as much pop as Manny, not as good of a swing but just as much power, is younger, has more speed and is a better fielder. He's better in the long run than Manny, which is why if we trade Manny and get Dunn, I wont be as pissed.

Please don't question my baseball knowledge at all, I loveed baseball and played since I was 5 years old, I'm 26 now, and I love Baseball and know it very well, just Don't say Dunn is ok cause he's way better then OK, as of right now I would take Dunn over Manny in a hreabeat, that's my opinion.

I'm with you on that one. DUnn's got more upside than trading for Manny.

no way... first of all dunn plays in a bam box... if he plays in shea he wont hit much like he does in cincy.. manny hits evey where he has played... cleveland and boston and he is an rbi machine..

dunn comes to the mets he will hit 240 and hit about 22 homers and drive in about 85-90 rbi's which is what manny does in half a season

what do think Fenway is................lol.. Your too funny my freind. If Manny came to Shea he would have the same problem you said Dunn would have. Sorry if you didn't know but Dunn is a lot stronger then Manny.

I'll take Manny over Cameron/Huff....but I wouldn't have minded Cameron/Huff/Dunn.

It's a wash for the Sox, we saved three top prospects I guess.
