Hmm...surprising and heart breaking, guess that leaves Barry Bonds out since i doubt anyone would be surprised or heart broken if it was him.

Could Greg Maddux be a possibility?, that would cover the surprise. A for the heart breaking, I'm not sure Jeter is Hall of Fame worthy just yet (though i could see how this would be heart breaking), maybe it is ARod. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

On the contrary, half of all the baseball fans will be shouting "TOLD YA SO!"

I have a hard time believing it's Jeter. The guy just doesn't look like the steroid type. A-Rod I can see, because his ego could cause him to do something like that.

I'm going to go with 2 different ones here, one which sort of makes sense, and one which is a "if it happens, I'll buy a lottery ticket" type pick.

Firstly, I'm going to go with Ivan Rodriguez of Detroit (should make/has a chance at making the HOF). Rodriguez came into spring training 15 pounds lighter than usual, and then regained it in around May/June. Sounds somewhat suspicious to me, but then again, a lot of guys lost weight as well.

Then, I'm going with Pedro Martinez. No reason, just feel like picking someone different, and it sure as hell would cover every other criteria stated.

                A-Rod is not on steriods.

There is no way, with the way he looks after himself that he would ever touch them.

He is one of the most talented players to ever play the game, and he's an incredibly hard worker....he is not on steriods.

And I haven't liked him since he left Seattle.

However, I would bet anything, that he has never touched them.

Somebody said they were going to release the names tomorrow. Anyone have an idea what time? I'll be close to a radio at work tomorrow and anxiously awaiting the news.

                      I'll say A-Rod doesn't look like he's on roids.

He's billed at 6=3" and 225 lbs, but I think 225 lbs is a bit too much for him. He's built but doesn't look that heavy.

Why is everyone basing their thoughts on looks. Sanchez, Palmeiro and Franklin did not look like steroid users, yet they were all caught. Just because Jeter's small, or A-rod is bulky, does not mean they did or didn't take steroids. Out of the two, I don't even know which one I'd say used steroids, but I'd love it if it was one of them being the red sox fan that i am.

Is there anything more fun in a rumor-mongering, Entertainment Tonight type of fashion than thinking who will get busted for steroids?

My gut instinct says Mariano Rivera. I have no clue why. Just an instinct based on no informed evidence whatsoever.

Performance has almost nothing to do with who's on steroids.
You have a point there, after reading my own statement, I realize that what I said made no sense. I should have said that I think it will be a power hitter or power pitcher. But didn't Michael Kay say one was a sure HOF'er and the other probably will be?

Whether Clemens gets caught or not, I think he is a juicer and anyone in their 40's playing better than they did in their prime.
