Re: ESPN and Bonds
Originally posted by ScottdMaybe you expert that explain this to me. Especially you BK. How can Bonds still be so freaking Hugh and he is off steroids. All of my friend that took them lose it real fast when they stop! Just curious. When Jason G stop he looked way smaller, especially I Rod. This is the one thing I can't understand! So BK I know you have an answer, so I would really be thank for one. I am not joking I am for real! My one friend is still pretty big, but we think he is still on them!
The masking agents that companies like BALCO make are pretty good. Not to mention that if he was in fact taking HGH, it's STILL not tested for and never will be tested for (unless they have a blood test).
Remember that this urine test is very weak. It should be easy to pass for most higher profile guys - which is what makes Palmiero and the steroid he took so unbelievable. It was such a low level steroid that's been detectable for years. I wonder if his masking agent didn't work or became detectable.
EDIT - For what it's worth, if any Pirate was found of being on steroids, I'd instantely dislike him. Just the way I am. Guys that do that don't deserve my respect.Comment

Re: Vin Scully doesn't want to call 756

Re: ESPN and Bonds
Originally posted by ScottdI have a hard time believing he would be still on them with all this investigation going on!
It's another problem with MLB's weak testing policy. The only true test would be a blood test, but the player's union will never agree to that.Comment

Originally posted by joebooWhy not? If he's taking a higher level 'roid like HGH, it's completely undetectable under MLB's steroid policy. He won't get caught.

Re: ESPN and Bonds
Originally posted by ScottdI respect you opinion, but he would have to be the biggest dummy ever. If he got caught now he would be banned for life. There is no way he would take that chance!
I've known a handful of people who have used and have quit. My sample size is quite small (3-4) so I'm no expert by any means. When these guys quit, they got chunkier. Not much smaller, but they were no longer as defined as they had been.Comment

Re: ESPN and Bonds
Originally posted by joebooThe thing is, he wouldn't get caught unless someone walked in on him sticking a needle in his butt/stomach. I can only assume Barry is smart enough to do this in cycles in the privacy of his own home where no one could find out. He knows the testing policy can't catch him.

Re: ESPN and Bonds
It is all good, Giants fans are going to stick up for this guy and non Giants fans are going to thrash on him. And I don't care what anybody says if your stud player was busted, you would feel different. It is always easy to say what you would do. But just think of your favorite player! And how you would treat him. If you say you would trash him, well that I believe you
The truth is we were raised in the steroid era! I don't like it, but it is the truth!Comment

Re: ESPN and Bonds
Originally posted by ScottdMost of my friends got smaller. I took No2 and Ce2 and when I stop I got smaller. But risks would be to high for Bonds. Especially if someone tells on him for fame and glory! If that got out he would be finish! So I don't believe he is on them!
Plus if someone tells on him, it's no worse than what he's dealing with now. It's his word against there's. There's no proof for either side. It's really impossible to get caught and have proof of it unless baseball implements a blood test and forces Barry to take that test. Of course, Hell would freeze over before that happened.Comment
