That is B.S. This has nothing to with him being a Giants, it has more to do with I can't say for sure if I would have done the same thing!

Sure he has meant a lot to my team, but Mac and Sosa and any other player I wouldn't get on. I know this is the net and people lie, but I was really good in baseball and had friends that took roids, and are now paying the price. I just don't think roids prolong careers. But I do understand what B.K and I can say their is some truth to that too.

From what I have read, perjury is next to impossible to prove in court. I suspect nothing comes of the perjury trial. We all know he lied, but proving it to meet the needs for a perjury conviction will be difficult.

Whoever thinks roids don't make you a better baseball player...Ken Caminiti would like to disagree with you. But he can't because he's dead. But hey, he got his MVP in 1996 which he himself admitted using steroids that year. Not only was that the most HR's he ever hit (40) he NEVER hit even 30 before or after. BUT that was also his best year for average as well. Most runs and most RBI's by FAR in his career that year....and yes even most doubles. It's BAT SPEED. Bat Speed = much better numbers.

Keep living in denial if you don't think steroids make you MUCH better.

That is not true, sure it is important, but you have to be able to see the ball too. If Bat speed was all it took then bodybuilder would be tearing up. Look bat speed and eye and hand coordination are very important, but to say roids make you better is false, roids make you stronger. It is a 50/50 chance of being better, some people that get big can't swing a fast as they can when they were smaller. It depends on the player. So what ever! You can say what you want about roids making you better, but if that was the whole you would see a lot of great ball players.

You're missing the point. You take a major league hitter who already has those skills, then you give him the ability to increase his bat speed say 25% via chemical enhancement, and you sure as hell have a better player.

No one is saying it can make a every day joe in to a great ballplayer, but they sure as hell can make a major league hitter in to a better major league hitter.

Exactly. Basically since force = mass * acceleration having better bat speed (which would allow you to either swing the same bat fast or a heavier bat at the same speed) will increase the force of the bat hitting the ball meaning more home runs and more balls that get through. Also if the player opts to swing the same bat but doesnt have to start their swing as soon it means they can wait longer and will swing at fewer bad pitches.

No that is not true. It is a 50/50 chance. I have seen a lot of players get stronger and bigger and lose their swing. So, yes I do see and I disagree. Some can keep their bat speed some can't. So it is 50/50 and to say that all major league can that is wrong.

And what is this 50/50 theory based off? You're posting it like its some widely known fact. What players have you seen lose their swing because they got too big using steroids? Who has lost their bat speed because they started using steroids?

What!!!!! Ok, wow. What does all that have to do with being stronger. You have to keep in mind that you can lose bat speed if you get to big, you can't even swing a bat. I am just saying to say that roids make a major league hitter better is false, sure it can for some. But to say all is false. Personally I believe it is something you are born with, with being able to hit a baseball. Sure you can teach as much as you can, but I believe it is God given gift!

If roids and being strong made you a better ball player, then you would see a lot of people testing positive for roids. Especially back then, Coaches that I have played for never even wanted us to work out to much. He said it was bad for our bat speed and swing!

I am saying to say all can be better is false, but that is cool I am tired of arguing with you guys, say what you want. But the truth is roids don't make you a better player, sure it can help, but to say it can help all is false. What Bonds did is wrong and he cheated, but to sit here and say it is the worst thing one can do is a joke. baseball and any sport have had players cheat and coaches. They do it to this day. But that is cool, just keep saying I am defending Bonds. I don't care.

The 50/50 is base on the player alone. Some players hit more HR some don't, but does hitting a HR make you a better player than someone who hits for average. Not many players in baseball take roods, because all their coaches tell them it will hurt your swing. That is all I am saying.
