No that is not what I am saying, but any ways, what I am saying it is apart of sports! I played college baseball and have many friends that have taking roids! So maybe I just understand it more! I am not saying it is right, but that is what we have to deal with! I know in college the pressure to win and perform is very intense! I am sure others that played college can understand that! But I can't even image what it is like in the pros! But the my main point is lol, is so many players have taken something that is would be damn near impossible to try and take back numbers and records!Comment

Re: D-Backs Grimsley implicated in steroids probe
I think what he is trying to say that while it is a definitely a goal to work towards to get a performance-enhancing free sports world, that's about as realistic as getting a corruption free political world. As long as we pay professional athletes this large amount of money, they will try and get every advantage possible to enhance their performance. C'mon yall, its the "American" way. Maybe now people will actually try and really solve the problem instead of looking for a stopgap scapegoat like they always do.Comment

Re: D-Backs Grimsley implicated in steroids probe
First of all, I am going to give Grimsley a pat on the back for at least being man enough, and mature enough, to ask the D'Backs to release him so that they aren't drug into this mess.
And, it didn't take long for someone to bring in Bonds and how wronged he is and to also bring Clemens and Pujols into the mix.
Why does this keep happening? Find some evidence that Pujols and Clemens took something, anything and we'll talk.
For the last time, Bonds admits that he took steroids but claims that he didn't know what they were at the time of injection or what not.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Re: D-Backs Grimsley implicated in steroids probe
But you are missing the point, the point is you want to get rid of the steroids problem in baseball, not get rid of Bonds. Despite what you want to believe, Bonds is not the nexus of performance enhancing in baseball. Until you get there, you won't make any progress, and it finally looks like people are realizing this fact.Comment

Why not both?
For that matter why not get rid of everyone that gets caught using steroids or any banned substance.
You want to clean up baseball, start kicking players out of the league for using a banned substance. I don't care if its Bonds, Pujols, A-Rod, Clemens, a minor leaguer, a bench warmer, a mascot, a hot dog vendor, who ever it is.
They cheat, kick them out. That is how you clean up baseball.Last edited by countryboy; 06-08-2006, 08:15 PM.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
