Re: Top 25 Players in the MLB
I gotcha. I wasn't necessarily under the impression that you had to have one person at every position, or even be making a roster. I just thought we were ranking people as "best available". For example, if you were ranking these players to be drafted, how would the standings go, regardless of position.Comment

Sorry, but any list without Miggy on it is flawed. He's been the best offensive SS in baseball for the last 4+ years.Comment

Re: Top 25 Players in the MLB
I went by the past year or so. Yes, he's been a huge force WHEN he's been on the field... but in the NL, you can't really depend on him anymore to be a constant in the lineup.Comment

Re: Top 25 Players in the MLB
Derrek Lee should be in top 25 on tall of these lists. The injury this year was a fluke and he'll be back to his 30+ HR 100+ RBI self in 2007. Not to mention, he proved that he can drive the ball to all fields by batting over .330 in 2005. He's a Gold Glove defender, too.
Edit: Overall, I'd say Pujols is the only 1B better than Lee.Last edited by Macar91; 10-29-2006, 06:12 PM.Originally posted by billmaticRadman is more like the ******** homeless man's version of Okur.Comment

Re: Top 25 Players in the MLB
- Listed each division
- Went through each team in that division and listed players that I thought had a chance at cracking this top 25.
- Important: If I can't remember a player, he's probably not worthy of being on this list.
- That is kind of what happened with Derrek Lee... I totally forgot about him, and I have been one of few to defend his breakout season last year as not being a fluke. Since I forgot about him though, he must not be a top 25'er yet.
