Will Barry Bonds hit A total of 800 home runs when he hangs um up he only needs 54 more home runs and said he will be back next year I think he can if he stays healthy.

If he comes back and plays the way he is now I think it can be safely said he will hit 800 homeruns, barring an injury or assassination. -

OK fans of other hitters in the game, help me out here. Do your stars get walk with 2 outs and a guy at third? In the 6th inning. I am trying to see if this is a Bonds thing or do other players get this treatment.Comment

If he can get through this year and next without significant health problems, he can probably do it. I think he will most likely retire after this year, though.Comment

It all depends on if he stays healthy and plays next year. If he does he'll have a great shot at getting to 800. I hope to God that he doesn't get to 800. He may say right now that he'll be back next season but I have a feeling if he breaks the record this year that he'll just hang it up.

I'm much more concerned about 3,000 career hits than the home run record, but iff he reaches the record, then I pray for 800 as well.
If he plays next year (and stays healthy), I have no doubt in my mind that he'll reach 800/3,000. But, with the streak the Giants are on, they look like they're about to give Bonds his first WS ring, and he just may retire after that.
