The only sure thing is that the Padres will finish in last.

Outside of Clemens and Wells, how old do you think the Yankees pitching is? Pedro and Moose are the same age roughly. Wakefield pitches like Charlie Hough, and will never be able to help any team compete for a championship because he too, is old, the only real promising Starters the Sox have (outside of Pedro) are Lowe, who i think last year was a fluke, and will continue to think so until he does it again.... But i think he'll have Jose Lima disease this year, and Casey Fossum, who is still an uncertainty, but still very promising capabilities. Now lets Take a long at the Yanks rotation in comparison

                        Yanks.
                        1Clemens
                        2Moose
                        3Pettitte/Contreras
                        4Wells/Leiber
                        5Weaver/Hitchcock

                        Sox
                        1Pedro
                        2Lowe
                        3Burkett
                        4Wakefield/Castillo
                        5Fossum

So i ask you, which perdicament would you rather be in... The choice between 7-8 starters who all have the capability of winning 16-20 games this season, or a rotation that is uncertain from 3-5 if they can win 16-20 combined.

                            As for my predictions:

                            AL East
                            1 Yanks
2 Red Sox(the Curse will never die)
                            3 Blue Jays
                            4 Tampa Bay
                            5 Balitmore
Yes Tampa i believe will finish outside of the cellar this year for 2 reasons: 1) Pinella is a winner, and i think it will rub off on those younger guys in the Trop enough to get them 70 wins this year. 2) Baltimore is just horrible, from the ending they had last season, and the fact they didnt even try to improve this year, they are destined for another 0-22 start just like in 88...

                            AL Central
                            1 Twins
2 Chicago(not even Colon will add enough improvement to this mediocre team)
3 Detroit (same reason as Tampa, Allen Trammel is a winner)
                            4 Cleveland
                            5 KC

AL West(probrably the hardest of all divisions to predict)
1 Oakland(pitching is just too damn good to not win 100)
                            2 Seattle
                            3 Anaheim
4 Texas (still not enough pitching)

                            AL Wildcard: Seattle

                            NL East
                            1 Phillies(Thome will love Philly, and he'll prove it with 50HR, 140RBI)
                            2 NY Mets
3 Atlanta (no fans, no division title)
                            4 Florida (battle for 3rd)
5 Expos (battle for 3rd also)
I dont see any of these teams not be at or close to the .500 mark)

                            NL Central
1 Astros(oswalt, Miller, and Sarloos, not to far behind Oaklands big 3)
2 Cards (too much offense to not compete)
3 Brewers (big year from Sexton, Jenkins and Sheets)
4 Reds (Griffey is still washed up, regardless of his abilities 5 years ago)
5 Cubs (Not even Dusty can make them winners, but still have the best fans in the NL)
                            6 Pirates

3 Colorado (Helton is great enough to carry this team on his back)
4 LA (still no starting pitching)
5 SD (maybe next year in PetCO)

                              As for my predictions:

                              AL East
                              1 Yanks
2 Red Sox(the Curse will never die)
                              3 Blue Jays
                              4 Tampa Bay
                              5 Balitmore
Yes Tampa i believe will finish outside of the cellar this year for 2 reasons: 1) Pinella is a winner, and i think it will rub off on those younger guys in the Trop enough to get them 70 wins this year. 2) Baltimore is just horrible, from the ending they had last season, and the fact they didnt even try to improve this year, they are destined for another 0-22 start just like in 88...

                              AL Central
                              1 Twins
2 Chicago(not even Colon will add enough improvement to this mediocre team)
3 Detroit (same reason as Tampa, Allen Trammel is a winner)
                              4 Cleveland
                              5 KC

AL West(probrably the hardest of all divisions to predict)
1 Oakland(pitching is just too damn good to not win 100)
                              2 Seattle
                              3 Anaheim
4 Texas (still not enough pitching)

                              AL Wildcard: Seattle

                              NL East
                              1 Phillies(Thome will love Philly, and he'll prove it with 50HR, 140RBI)
                              2 NY Mets
3 Atlanta (no fans, no division title)
                              4 Florida (battle for 3rd)
5 Expos (battle for 3rd also)
I dont see any of these teams not be at or close to the .500 mark)

                              NL Central
1 Astros(oswalt, Miller, and Sarloos, not to far behind Oaklands big 3)
2 Cards (too much offense to not compete)
3 Brewers (big year from Sexton, Jenkins and Sheets)
4 Reds (Griffey is still washed up, regardless of his abilities 5 years ago)

                              1 SF

                              Cards

                              Division Champs:

Maybe a slight exaggeration on your part. Just about EVERYTHING has to go wrong to start 0-21 (not 22, let's not get carried away now, heh). I actually think a lot of players will have their "career" years. 1 - many players are in the 26-30 year old range, where players often have their best years (of course, by career year, I mean by their own standards... I don't think Devi Cruz will have an A-Rod year... just a good year by Cruz's standard). 2 - Many players have just one year contracts so they must perform for next year's contract. Having said that, I still believe that the O's will finish below .500 this year.
