I love baseball, and watch every mariner game there is. All admit that if the team I'm watching gets down by more then 4 runs early in a game, i'm probably going to tune out until the 8th inning, depending on who is playing and pitching of course.

Re: Who else hates Baseball??
Like the first poster said, Baseball doesn't really matter until October. Just like all the other 2 winter sports (basketball, hockey) don't really get exciting until around April. To some, there are alot of meaningless games in baseball, but thats no reason to knock the entire sports. I mean everyone loves football, but I think half the reason why people love it so much is because each game matters SO much. Play 162 football games (injury/fatigue withstanding) and it would be just as boring as baseball is to some in my opinion.Comment

I love baseball, sure it gets boring at times but the relaxation of the game is great. It's also the only sport I know of that has a whole mythology behind it. The stories of the Babe, the Mick, Dimaggio, Jackie Robinson, The Bronx Bombers, The love affair between Chicago and their cubs.
The game is so rich in history yet for the last 25 yrs the sport has been damaged by all the economics/CBA gobblygook. Sometimes I wish I was alive during the 30s to the 60s to see TRUE MLB.
BTW if you want a more boring sport try watching cricket.

The whole George Will/ Bob Costas/Ken Burns "Baseball Is America" just makes the whole sport reek of formaldehyde. It's a sport - not a national ideal.

Haha, thats actually one of the things that draws me to baseball. No sport has such a rich history as baseball. I love baseball for the sport that it is, but not so much the business, like most of you. I can literally sit and watch a game from first pitch to the last and afterwards wish there was another game. Doesnt matter if its a major league game or just going to the park and watching some little leaguers or high schoolers play. I can see where your coming from though. I hate football probably more then you hate baseball, so I go through the same thing after baseball season. The only other sport that captures my interest is hockey, and thats really starting to go downhill.Comment
