Re: High Heat Sightings and First Impressions here...

Here's a link to the thread I was talking about regarding the man on third/2outs scoring on the popfly. It's starting to sound like this happens on high fly balls every once in a while. I hope it's not often...

Re: High Heat... First Impressions & Questions for those with the game

I played my 1st game and it seemed ok. I am the Astros and played the Rockies. I lost 7-2 on All-Star. They had 8 hits (4Hr's I believe) and I had 5 hits. It was difficult to hit as I K'd 12 times. It sure has been a long time since I played HH 2003. One thing that was cool was the passed ball on a 3rd strike and my runner took 1st. Didn't see that last year! There seems to be a slow down when the pitcher tries a pickoff. There is also some inconsistencies with the check swing. I am definitely not giving up on HH and I am curious about the different sliders. I will just have to play more to see where the game actually stands. (There was one other glitch I found, the count was 1-1 the pitcher threw to home and the catcher caught it and snapped a throw to 1st. The count remained 1-1 on the next pitch )

the same thing happened to me. i was the mets playing the yanks. 3-3 bottom of the ninth and i had them loaded with 2 outs and piazza hit a infield pop up a mile in the air and the runner on 3rd crossed the plate before the ss caught it and the next thing i know it said i won 4-3. this really sux.

WOW! That really sucks big time! And the worst part is, those of us who purchase the game on a console will never see a patch to fix that obvious mistake. The PC guys probably won't either (they didn't have a patch for 2003).

Re: High Heat Sightings and First Impressions here...

If this flyball error is a serious issue, 3DO better get a patch out and fix this for the computer quick or they'll be receiving some shall I say large amounts of anonymous email.

Would anyone be so kind as to describe some of the new pitches and how well they are done?

Knuckleball: Does it move like it should in real life or is it like last year's knuckleball?

Also, what's the difference between the moving fastball, 2 seam fastball, and tailing fastball? Oh and is the sinker correct or is it like last year (a fast screwball)?
