I was gonna wait until I actually experienced "the bug" before accepting it as true... well in the small world that is my bedroom the 3rd out bug DOES EXIST.
I was play'n the royals in my 6th game on MVP with a SIM of 7. The bases were loaded with 2 outs and Ibanez stroked what I thought was a sure homer. I caught it up against the wall and when I finished celebrating I noticed the score was now 2 -1 instead of 1-1. This did not happen in the ninth inning to lose the game like most of the reports I've heard. It was in the 2nd or 3rd - I came back to win, which was nice.
Another "interesting bug" I have in my game is a sound issue. EVERY TIME I complete a game the background music disappears once I enter the Box Score screen, and It stays gone until I save my game - then it's back. I actually really like this because it reminds me to save my game.
I'm running an original production PS2 that HAS to be on its side to play the game. Sometimes requires a Cleaning CD just to get started. Unlike the sound issue I was talking about, the 3rd out bug doesn't always occur. I have seen the baserunners hold up several times in the 5 previous games I've played. Its a puzzle that needs solving. Hope this post helps.

Well, the sound thing happen to me too, but thats not really a "bug" I can't remember on last year edition if the music dissppear or not, but I don't care either, actually, maybe it is an option under some settings, got it check that out.
