High Heat... First Impressions & Questions for those with the game

Well, been reading the posts about the "scoring from 3rd with 2 outs " bug and I have played about 20 games since yesterday and today and still have yet to see the bug. I have had my ps2 since launch adn I play with the sliders set at default setting with the exception of the "game speed " slider which I set to fastest. Not trying to add confusion to the mix but I have had numerous instances with a runner on third with 2 outs and hit a fly to the outfield, the runner on third seems to stop short crossing home plate. Oh yes and I do have my PS 2 in the vertical position. Just speculation on my part but could it be that the guys that have seen this bug have disks that were coopied from a bad source batch....much like that boxing game that came out at the ps 2 launch that came from a bad batch of discs?

if my theory has any validity (doubtful, i know, but i wouldn't rule it out), here's what would be the case:

-some old ps2s (bad condition) would exhibit the bug.
-some old ps2s (good condition) would not exhibit the bug.
-NO new ps2s would exhibit the bug.

so if someone wants to destroy the possibility of this theory, come in here and tell me that you have a new ps2 and you experienced "the bug."

if you own the game period, chime in with thoughts (did you experience the bug, what model ps2 do you have, etc.).

thanks for not having any respect for the rest of us!! this bug is in the game i have seen it first hand. i have seen it once in the very first game i ever played! i have since played 20 games and not seen it again. this is how it happened i was the mets playing the yanks and the game was tied 3-3 in the bottom of the ninth. the bases where loaded and piazza was up with 2 outs. he hit a long routine fly ball to dead center, bernie caught it but the runner on 3rd scored before he caught it and it said i won 4-3. again you dont have to respect me or believe me but it did happen. even with this bug i am keeping this game, i love the game play! i love the pure sim of it, i have played 15 games in my franchise with the reds and i am 7-8 and have only hit 16 hrs this is great. last year with asb i went like 140-22 and griffey hit 82 hrs and dunn hit 75.( way too unreal for me) so again the bug is in their but the game is still great!!

I have a roster question. I did the three way trade with the Whitesox-Expos-Yanks so that Colon and El duque ect... would be on the right teams. So I saved those roster changes and started my franchise. Now I started another new franchise and the stats from the previous one are still in there. So by the end of my first year the players will have played a 320 game season statisticly.My question is , is there any way to load rosters that I have already played with,yet not have stats already accumulated for them when I start a new season.

Is it me or is this game slower than last years? I have to have all the pitch speeds maxed and the game speed on fastest to play.

On a side note, I have seen such realistic baseball it's scary. Thankfully this bug doesn't seem to be too widespread, and might even be a loading issue. Lets hope so.

Its just too damn bad they couldn't include an in game save, that would be icing on the cake.
