Re: High Heat Sightings and First Impressions here...

Well I have had the game since Friday. I have played 12 games so far (on various levels, with various settings) and I am impressed. My last game was a 11 inning classic, Cubs @ SF,which was won bu Alfonso with a walk-off HR off of a tired Juan Cruz. . . .anyway the game plays great and feels like real baseball and the level of detail involved in the franchise mode is amazing (I love the fact that minor league plays that are called up get contracts- makes calling a guy up or sending one done a much big deal- as it should be) and hell what more can you ask for?

Now, I have not seen "the bug" or any other bugs so. . .so don't know what else to say about that. If I see any I will report back like the loyal OS operative I am. . .

Anyone else with GAMEPLAY impresions that are not bug-based?

I've now read that the XBox version has been moved to 3/4, which is just driving me nuts. The delay of a week may be, in fact, do double check for any inconsistencies in gameplay (the PC way to say bugs).

At this rate, I may just buy the PC version considering it has the same release. I planeed on the XBox version for the sole reason that it was releasing close to a month earlier. Now that it is not however, user mods and DangerZ's editor is just too much to pass up on.

Nothing really wierd has happened to me lately, but they one game they went to the base umpires 5 or 6 times even when there was no check swing. At least they never called it a strike

I'm sure you probably won't see a bug any more than maybe 1 out 10 games!

Here's something stat junkies with the game may want to check, found this at BSC:

For the heck of it, i started simming through a franchise mode. After 10 years, a player historical stats start dropping off. In other words, if a player started his career in '95, then after you get to 2005, his '95 stats drop off. It really sucks because it affects his career totals. Sammy never got to 600 homeruns, because every year I simmed, one of his earlier season dropped off. Every year in the season news (whatever it's called), it mentioned career Homerun milestones, and every year Sammy hit his 500. Then the next year a season would drop off, he would be back down to 400something, and he would do it again...

                      <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

I hope for High Heat fans' sake that these may just be a bad batch of discs.

I saw it in game 4 of my play. I've played maybe 10 games since and haven't seen it.

Bug aside the gameplay is great. Wind moves the ball -- pitches don't always go where you want them to -- infielder throwing animations are improved -- wide variety of hits.

When a pitcher gets tired, the opposition starts to crush him -- it even seems like pitchers have bad days too.

If people need to know the return policy of a store they should call the store. The above is neither a sighting nor an impression- why is it in this thread?

                              Nice first post.
