    Most promising young pitcher?

Trying to get a feel for who feels will be the most dominant young starter 5-10 years from now.

I'm talking guys that are low 20's, not guys like Peavy who are still considered young. We all know how good he is.

I'm talking unproven guys with great upside.

For me, it's still King Felix. He is still very young and raw, but he has shown just what he is capable of on a few occasions. IMO, noone in the league has the electricity his pitches have. He just needs to learn to control it. If he does, and he stays healthy, he's gonna be the ace in Seattle for the next 10-15 years (barring FA/trade).

I know Felix does have some experience, so he is already shown his promise, but he still impresses me more than the other youngins (Kershaw, Hughes, etc.)

Who do you guys think is the most promising young pitcher?

I would add Homer Bailer to this list.

Yup, Cincinnati has a bunch of hot prospects coming up. Hopefully they can pitch well even when they pitch in Great American Ballpark.

I think John Maine has a great shot, people don't give much credit outside NY. I think he will be a 20 game winner soon, he just needs to kept himself strong for the whole season.

This makes me believe that we have something really special every time I see it..

Meh... He's alright but 20 game winner is definitely stretching it, especially this day in age when pitchers usually don't last past the 6th.

If I could take anybody it would probably be Lincecum.

Everyone says Lincecum. He's good, he might be great, but i don't think his body type will last 10 years.

                            Very good point.

Thats my biggest concern on him as well.

Didn't Tommy Lasorda think the same with Pedro Martinez?
