    Wow, yeah, good call.

Not to mention they have Jeff Niemann who's highly touted as well. Really not fair.

I wouldn't care if the guy never won another game after he was 30 if he could give me 6 or 7 years that Pedro had. Pedro had the most dominant 5 year run of anyone in baseball history in the late 90's.

I'm pretty sure most of he pitchers coming up would be happy to have half the career that Pedro had.

Don't stats tell the story, though?

You are without a doubt using stats to compare Pedro of before to Pedro of now so why can't someone use stats to prove that he hasn't been as bad as you think?

He's already won like 19 games, he wants under the radar people. Garza also is going to be a good one I think. Terrible move for the Twins, especially with the trade of Santana.

Pitchers falling off the face of the earth happens. You should be familiar with that since you experienced it first hand with several pitchers on your team.

No love for Yovani Gallardo? He put up a 3.67 ERA as a 21 year old rookie, and has unlimited potential. Plus he has some pop as well, .250 BA with 2 HR.

Gallardo's got some pretty nasty stuff.

I was thinking about including him on my list as well. He has nasty stuff and if Sheets stays healthy they could produce a nasty 1-2 combo for years to come.

Good point. There are of course, always exceptions to the rule. Mix Lincecum's size plus his awkward 12 o'clock delivery, he's bound to have shoulder problems.

The Rays are going to have 4 legit #1-#2 starters on their team with those three plus Kazmir. Not fair.
I'm not sold on Loewen. Sure, he's done really well against some of the big AL East teams, but look at his WHIP last year (1.747)... that's not going to cut it in the long run. If he can control his pitches, he might be something special, but from what I've seen (on TV and in person), he's not going to get himself out of 2 men on 1 out situations on a consistent basis.

Another good example of a small pitcher that does well. He's in his 7th major league season and he's thrown a TON of innings. I have a feeling he's bound for the DL soon. I hope he proves me wrong; he's one of the more fun pitchers to watch out there.

I know the numbers don't look great, I just have a gut feeling that he's gonna be a monster for many years...I don't have any good reasoning for it, I just have a feeling.
