Out Of The Park 5 Impressions - A Week Later

Now that OOTP 5 has been out a bit, how are you text-heads liking it? I'm really considering it, but I'm thinking it may be too deep for me.

Are you enjoying it? And is the support (photo packs, player dbs, etc.) falling in place?

I love it. All of the addons for OOTP4 work on 5. The best part of the game is that its customizable. If you want to micro maage you can, if you just want to manage and leave the minor things to the compputer you can.

I love it, and I'm not that much of a text fan either. The manager challenge is just really cool, and the ability to download pictures, stadium backgrounds, newest rosters, etc. makes it so much better. Version 5 has some really nice features. The HTML reports and links for players are very useful. They make looking up stats a lot easier. For $35, you really can't beat it.

I love it, and I'm not that much of a text fan either. I love recreating history. I started in year 1962 with the Mets (their first year) and I'm trying to build them up. Oh yea, Hank Aaron was drafted by the Red Sox, its funny seeing that!

I'm definetely loving it. I bought ASB and have barely played it i've been playing OOTP so much. They even had a patch ready like a week after it was released to fix some minor problems. Great costumer support. From what I hear on the OOTP boards, theirs a roster set that will have each teams 40 man roster and BA's top 10 prospects along with 2002 stats ready by opening day.

I am loving this game. It just gets deeper and deeper every year. I am currently doing a historical season with the Royals where I started in 1972. Manager Mode is great, trying to keep the owner happy can sometimes be tough.

Also, for those of those playing OOTP5, download the Cherry Wood Chrome skin for the game. It is by far the best I've seen so far.
