I'm pretty sure that's a yes.

OOTP is pretty flexible you can either have season simulations where you just replay a season or complete historical franchises where say you start in 1945 and then a franchise mode through whenever you get tired.

Yeah, i've never done it, but from what I hear you just download the Lahman Database. After each season, the game asks you if you want to import real rookies and the database is where they are. Sorry I cant really go into detail about it, like I said, i've never done it, but if you go over to the ootp forums, you should be able to find links and help. They have a forum with FAQ's where you can get info also. Check it out:

I know these types of questions are better asked at the OOTP boards, but it's so busy over there, and my questions usually get lost. Has anyone had any performance problems running this game. My machine is an 800Mhz Duron, with 256mb. The game is slow, but still acceptable - i pretty much expected it with my system. BUT, i'm getting a really wierd Win98 blue screen - saying it can't write to drive E: (where i have it installed). That pretty much locks up my machine. Has anyone else seen anything like this?

Have you tried turning off the sound (in the game) and disabling your anti-virus program, if you have one?

Yes you can import the next years rookies into the game. After every season in the historical leagues it will ask you if you want real rookies or not. Then you are given the choice of either drafting them or putting them on their original teams (the team that drafted them in real life). I always draft the players every year, makes it more fun for me.

Thank you, as soon as I get my insane fill of the current crop of arcade games I will be getting OOTP5. Drafting real rookies sounds great. They have enough of the other options for a stat freak like myself so Ill be jumping on the OOTP bandwagon soon enough.

Will the license cover more than one computer?

I don't think you can import rookies to draft.

I like this game a lot, just some minor quibbles with the menus, and I wish the Manager mode had more goals. Other than that, it's very good.

Your license can be used for 3 of your computers.

YEs, you can draft real rookies. Hank Aaron was just taken by the Red Sox in my game! Also, Mantle was traded to the Pirates???

What I meant was in subsequent seasons...like in NFL2K3/Madden where you can import your NCAA draft class. I'm pretty sure you can't import players for the amateur draft in OOTP like that.

What I meant was in subsequent seasons...like in NFL2K3/Madden where you can import your NCAA draft class. I'm pretty sure you can't import players for the amateur draft in OOTP like that.
