This is true. But this is not exactly what I'm getting at.

What I mean is... when the Vibration feature is on, the rumbling of the controller will indicate to you where the inside and outside corners of the plate are, giving you good references of where to aim/locate your pitches.

On the other hand, while pitching with Vibration feature off, you don't have these references at all, therefore making it a lot tougher on you to paint the corners. That's all I'm saying.

    Ohh,
I think that we both missunderstood eachother. I never use the vibration option. I have it disabled. I think I'll just used it so I can whine and bitch less

        tlewis,

Your settings are similar to mine with the exception of fast speed and medium curser. I agree with you. These settings are producing realistic results. I'm still in exhibition, practicing.

Here are the sliders I have been playing with over the last few weeks. These are the best slider settings I've come up with so far. (All non-slider settings are the same as the ones shown in my other WSB 2K3 gameplay settings post.)

            CPU Pitching Ability - 100
            CPU Batting Average - 90
CPU Batting Eye (Balls) - 50
CPU Batting Eye (Strikes) - 25
            CPU Throw Strikes - 35
            CPU Stealing Frequency - 40

Re: Everyone post your slider settings if you\'re getting realistc results...

below are the slider/gameplay settings I've been using for WSB2k3 (Xbox) with great results (if you like realism)...

First, set the following CUSTOM sliders, and be sure to use them when setting up your game.

CPU Pitching Ability: 60 (increase as you improve)
CPU Batting Average: 35 (increase as your pitching improves)
                CPU Batting Eye (Balls): 55
CPU Batting Eye (Strikes): 50 (These 2 should give you realistic strike out totals if you work the batters and throw smart).

CPU Throw Strikes : 15 (Lower as you develop a better eye)
                CPU Stealing Frequency: 70

Then, adjust your gameplay options as follows:
                Difficulty: All-Star
                Pitch Speed: VERY fast
                Batting Cursor Size: Small
                Pitch Cursor: Off
                Strike Zone: Off
Variable Pitching: MEDIUM (ensures both you and the computer make a sufficient number of mistakes, but won't make the CPU give up as many MELONS as when you put this to High)
                Swing Feedback: OFf
                Pitch Preview: Off

This may not work for everyone, but for me I've been getting realistic results in very fun and challenging games...I had a NO hitter going into the 7th with Wakefield and felt the disappointment as he gave up a double to end the party...

Re: Everyone post your slider settings if you\'re getting realistc results...

First and foremost these sliders can be used universally between WSB for XBOX and PS2.

                    CPU Pitching Average - 75
                    CPU Batting Average - 47
                    CPU Batting Eye(Balls) - 65
                    CPU BE (Strikes) - 60
                    CPU Throw Strikes - 7
                    CPU Stolen Bases - 40

If you start striking out the computer alot then raise the CPU .BA by 5 or so. If you rock the computers pitching I would suggest increasing the CPU's pitching average. Now these settings have been working great for me and I see no need to change them. Once I start developing a better eye i'm sure I'll tweak them. I also use these on All-Star setting in conjunction with the custom sliders I just mentioned. Let me know what you think.

Okay I have some questions. When I have saved all my customer slider settings, and I then go to play the game. Do I have to change BOTH teams' slider settings to custom?

For instance, let's say I am going to play a franchise game with my new custom slider settings. I am at the 'choose team to control' screen, and obviously I choose my team to control for this particular game. I go into my team options and turn on the CUSTOM slider settings and set stuff life variable pitching and all that.

Do I then have to go into the CPU team options and turn THEIR'S on custom also? And when some of you say you turn variable pitching on medium for you and high for cpu, how do you do that? Is that done when I go into their team options or is that done each inning (when they pitch, change it back)?
                            Thanks
