I'm using this sliders, my problems are....

1.Variable Pitching: Even with good control Pitchers(Glavine, Leiter) I try to hit the corners only to see my pitches go straight down the middle. It's getiing pretty frustrating cause I really don't feel like my pitchers have any control over their pitchers. Not even my 2 best pictchers.

2. CPU rarely takes strikes. Anything close to the plate the dam CPU swings at it. I stil get decent KO's with Leiter, but man the CPU just goes out hacking

This leads to too much hits bu the CPU most of the time. I think this happens by the fact that the pitches that I try to hit the corners, constantly go right to the middle of the plate.

3. [censored] CPU PITCHERS GETTING HITS OF ME!!! This just drives me INSANE!

Anyways, the game it's a bit frustrating to me right now. But still it's a great game. I'm enjoying it far more than HH. Anyone notice that they are just to many singles in this game?

Well, I'll keep playing with the sliders till I get the right... I'm close

I'm finding that my pitcher has great control over his pitches. I can go games where I rarely throw balls. Are there sliders that balance out my own pitchers performance?

I'm not sure if you already know this or not, but playing with the Vibration feature on helps you locate pitches better.

After playing a few more games, I felt it necessary to make more changes to my sliders. In this post I'll only list the ones I changed.

CPU Pitching Ability: 60 -> 100

No explanation needed from me on the reason for this change, as FatPitcher's input on this slider in another post tells all.

CPU Batting Average: 60 -> 100

See FP's explanation for this one too. I also should add that I may set this slider a bit lower since I notice there's a lack of pitches being fouled off by CPU-controlled hitters at the 100 setting.

CPU Batting Eye (Strikes): 40 -> 25

In my previous setting, the CPU-controlled batters swung at the first pitch way too often, leading to extremely short games where a starting pitcher can often get through 9 innings throwing less than 80 pitches. With this change the CPU-controlled batters take first-pitch strikes more often, and show more plate discipline -- working the pitcher deeper into the count more often and also drawing full-count walks at times. I also see more clutch 2-strike hits, and strikeouts during instances where the batter is caught looking at the 3rd strike.

CPU Stealing Frequency: 60 -> 45

I noticed the CPU tried for way too many steals with slower players (though it was getting caught majority of time doing so). And it wasn't like a hit-and-run was called, as the batter did not take a swing at the ball while the runner takes off.

Make your changes to your slider settings at the main menu. Go to options, gameplay sliders, and use the d-pad to scroll over till u see custom. Adjust your sliders and hit the B button to save the changes and exit out. When u get ready to play a game, u will have to go into the team options of the CPU team and make sure they are set on CUSTOM.

My settings currently are:

CPU Pitching ability: 65
CPU Batting Avg: 20
CPU Batting Eye: 55
CPU Batting Eye: 55
CPU Throwing Strikes: 25
CPU Stealing Freq: 50

I am also on all-star settings but with these I am getting very realistic results. Some games are a hitters fest, some are pitching duels. Hope this helps..

hey maestro,

im using very similar settings (they look like Graphik's)---
my ??...im getting some really HIGH K's against the cpu--
im the red sox and wiht pedro vs the devil rays i've K'd the 1st 12 batters!!! (VAR picthing is on high)

any idea what i could adjust? (im guessing cpu batting--but they're getting hits/runs..its just that their outs are mostly K's)
