I'm getting incredibly realistic results with the following sliders. Played 50 games using this and all of my stats are in line with those simulated by the engine:

Difficulty: Legend (yes, this makes a difference)
Sliders: Custom
Pitch Speed: Very Fast
Variable Pitching: High
Swing Type: Timed
Errors: Normal
Pitching Cursor: Off
Batting Cursor: Very Small

CPU Pitching: 100
CPU Throws Strikes: 1
CPU Eye (Strikes): 100
CPU Eye (Balls): 100
CPU Hitting: 30
CPU Steal Frequency: 100

House rule: 1 double-steal or clean steal of 2nd per game without using the leadoff controls (i.e. just a queued steal using the directional pad), steal 3rd however and whenever

Using the Phillies, every player is performing very close to their career norms using these sliders, and the team stats are right in line with the rest of the league.

I'm sure I'm in the minority here, but this slider discussion is just insane... EVERYONE plays games differently, some hit better, some bat better.. I'm having realistic stats just on All-Star, very fast pitching, timed hitting, that sorta thing, I think my biggest winning streak was like 5 games, but was soon followed by a 3-game skid... however I'm still sporting a losing record about one month into the season.
