    Re: HUGE FLAW!!!!

I tried this pitch to center thing too and found that the batters actually hit less effectively if you do it from the beginning of the game like others said. I only gave up 2 runs on All Star mode..it seems like pitching this way is more effective than mixing it up. wierd.....

Before you guys jump down Dspez's throat, keep in mind that:
        1. He actually wrote reviews for Operation Sports back in the day...wouldn't you think that actually writing for the site would give him some respectability, regardless of the # of posts he makes?
        2. DSpez posts a lot in Usenet. Those of you that are 14 and under probably don't know what Usenet is -- but before there were forums and message boards, there was Usenet. Not much goes on there anymore, except quite often you'll hear some guy named Jonah Falcon post about how binLaden didn't do it.

DSpez, I know how you feel -- even if it's a minor thing, the fact that it's there sucks. Kinda like the HH bug, or the 4 minutes of misframing in the Back To The Future DVD Widescreen.

Did you guys gave up a lot of runs to the CPU using this flaw in all star level (MVP-Xbox Version)
I hope you guys tell me this isnt true b/c it will really sucks if it isn't!!! Even if its is true i wouldn't pitch that way and actually try to win a game
And btw, if the CPU scored alot of runs on you using this flaw, have you came back from a game?

Did this happen all the time or the CPU, when the game progresses starts to hit more effectively and starts to hit alot, score more runs, and etc. I'll be very happy with this game if it happens.

A couple of theories on this "flaw".....I noticed people saying they give up a few runs early on with this method, but then the cpu stops scoring. Could this be a built-in "kiddie" mode where it stops the cpu from scoring runs when it detects a pattern? I know EA likes to have modes that allow novices to pick up the game and get some immediate satisfaction without in-depth knowledge of the controls.

Also, are you winning or losing the game when the cpu stops scoring? Try getting a lead and then using this method.

EA Sports only want this a game to be easy to pick up and play but also EA Sports makes a fine line of easy to pick 'n play and at the same time be challenging. And from what i have to say they did a good job as 1st year effort and next year EA Sports will fix this problem and any other problems that MVP has. Remember this is a new ballgame from ea starting all over again by revamping the whole engine what used to be "Triple Play". And i think next year it would end up to Madden level in my opinion.
To answer your question about the built-in "kiddie" mode, try to get other peoples opinion about it. I think they (EA Sports) just want this game playable but in the course of the game, as you get used to it to become more challenging. And I think you make a great point about when winning or losing a game when CPU stop scoring. I WANT TO KNOW WHEN YOU GET A LEAD AND TRY THIS FLAW DID THE CPU COME BACK FROM THE DEFICIT?
ex: When you having a 6-2 lead over computer do they comeback to tie and/or lead the game?
