I agree changing speeds by PITCH SELECTION is key to getting K's not by different meter strengths. Location is also very key.

To some degree the meter strength is important. I think its more important vs humans than the CPU though. On my SO pitches, I always hold the button till it starts to come back down, and especially to a human player, it makes a difference. Im talking about a 3-5mph difference on FB and Changes, more Break on Cutters, Curves and Sliders.

Sometimes its enough to fool the CPU, but most of the time its not. But vs people, good lord, its hugh. I was playing my friend Sun with the WS vs the Mets, and struck him out 10 times, and limited him to 6 hits off of a steady diet of 100mph FBs and Changes. There were a few times when I hit him with a 96mph FB (which is already damn near unhittable) and then popped a 101mph screamer in there. Needless to say, there was a few times they showed the replay, and the ball was like 6inches from the catchers mit, and the player just started to swing. It was priceless.

        Best tips:

        Play PRO level

Mix slow and hard stuff effectively

Don't set a pattern doing same things on most batters

        Use sliders down and away

        Fastballs up and in

        Curveballs/changeups when have them 0-2 or 1-2

        Hmmm...sounds alot like real picthing!

You have certain amount of power in your tank. So every pitch takes a small bit of energy away from you, if you don't go to the red every pitch you can actually last longer because you didn't use your tank.

Could very well be the reason the CPU pitchers tire so easily and get replaced early on in games. Maybe they max out all of their pitching speeds?
