1. Select the team you want to play with and have them as the away team. (Only way to hit from pitcher vew.)

--ok...i go to the controller select screen and select away team. only place to select my team, right? No, I meant to say that in the Matchup selection menu, select the team you want to play as and make them the away team.

Example:
(A's @ Yankees) For this example let's say you want the A's. Make them the away team and the Yanks the home team. Now at the controller select screen, move to control the home team (Yankees). Once the game starts, and you see the Yankee pitcher on the mound, Pause the game and move the controller to the A's.

This is what I don't get. You can't pause it during the pitcher's warm-up. If you press start it skips that scene and goes to the batter's box.

This is what I don't get. You can't pause it during the pitcher's warm-up. If you press start it skips that scene and goes to the batter's box.

Wait, just for the record, you don't have to be in warm-up's. You can do it when the pitch selection screen comes up.

Didn't work for me and I did exactly what you guys said to do. Sorry, but without a Photo of it, then I cant believe you guys. Its nothing against you guys, but when you dont see it for yourself, then its hard to believe. But if there are specifics, maybe like skipping the beginning intro or specific options to be set at, then that would help.
