    NL MVP Discussion

All right people. I don't see an nl mvp discussion so here it is. Who will win it? Pujols, Berkman, Holliday, Hanley Ramirez, or Reyes?

My opinion is Pujols. Hitting .360 with 33 homers and 100 steaks.

Manny Ramirez has no shot to win but I wouldn't be surprised if he got some votes. Kind of like Sabathia with the Cy Young hype.

Having said that, Pujols should win it.

Though, it wouldn't surprise me if the voters give it to Delgado.

How is Delgado not on your list?

Pujols will probably win it, and for good reason...he is the best hitter of all time.

Nonetheless, I think a very solid case can be made for Mark DeRosa. He is the MVP on the team with the best record.

Delgado isn't even the most valuable Carlos on his team.

If the award was most value first-baseman on the Mets than I would give it to Delgado, can't see any other possible way though.

I could name twenty players more deserving than Derosa and Delgado.

Pujols and his bum elbow, although they threw out an interesting idea on BBTN a few nights ago, saying that by the true meaning of MVP that Sabathia would be a front runner, and it makes sense.

There is no "true meaning" of MVP, it's up to the discretion of each individual voter.

The problem for Delgado is being one of three 100+ RBI men in the Mets lineup probably won't get him a lot of votes.

I wouldn't rule out Ryan Howard winning it again. Looks like he may have another 50 HR season and will probably drive in 140 runs.
