    Re: Soriano

Sorry, Soriano may have had one good year as a hitter, but he is a HORRIBLE second baseman. I would go as far to say as he's a liability out on the field. They should DH him and get someone else to play second.

As for Jeter, his stats have actually been decling the last few years. He is probably the 3rd or 4th best SS in the AL. He may be a good team leader and all that, but FAR from any discussion about "best ever". And one play in the World Series does not put him in Cooperstown. Gotta love Yankee fans... or not!

I've seen people posting about the Yankees making a play for Tejada and moving him to 3rd. I would say that if they get Tejada, they put him at SS, move Jeter to 2nd, and DH Soriano.

Oh and BTW, No one has mentioned Jeff Kent in the 2nd base discussion. I bet he winds up in the Hall.

        Re: Soriano

Jeter is vastly overrated but he is still a damn good player. Tejada is a far far superior defender. Soriano can hit, his fielding isn't that bad. He has range out in the field and he can make some nice plays. He really just needs to improve his fundamentals and concentration.

            Re: Soriano

soriano will prove in time that he will be 1 of the best hitting second baseman as for his defense its only really his second year at second base but in another 2 or 3 years every one will be talking about soriano like they are talking about a-rod end of story
