Actually, most people around here were pretty sure Tex wouldn't sign with the Sox. Everyone would've liked him to, without a doubt, but most teams wouldn't mind having him on their team. I expected him to go to the Angels until they pulled their names from the table, and after that I honestly had no idea where we would end up.

But, again, nice try at...whatever your real point/intentions are. I assume it's trying to prove that I am bitter or what have you, and that isn't going to work since I'm not. I'm more looking forward to the fun I can have with my Yankee-loving friends if the Yanks don't win.

      Baseball is a complete joke.

You got some owners who won't part with a dime, and others who no financial responsibility.

did I hear the Yankees hit up the goverment for some public money for their stadium?

With this kind of inequality why would I watch baseball anymore? This stuff (along with what's going on with teams like the Padres) just ruin my interest in the game.

That's my biggest problem with what the Yankees are doing. If their ownership has the money and wants to spend the money, then more power to them because we all know baseball will never adopt a cap since the game is run by the MLBPA and the players don't want a cap. But to have to beg for money to pay for your new stadium and then shell out this kind of cash in the offseason is just plain ridiculous.

The Yankees make the money. They can spend it how they want. It's been this way for 50 years and it's not changing anytime soon.

Take Posada off the list. He wasn't a huge part of those Dynasty teams. He wasn't around in 1996 and he was a part-time player in 1998 and 1999.

And that Yankee dynasty team being "built from within" is a bunch of garbage. David Cone was home-grown? Jimmy Key? John Wetteland? Paul O'niell? Tino Martinez? Cecil Fielder? David Wells? El Duque? Roger Clemens? Dave Justice? Oh yeah, home grown for sure.

Jeter, Mariano, Bernie, and Pettitte. Das it.

The owners could change it if they wanted too. They would rather stick the money in their pockets.

You guys take this Baseball too serious, MLB Baseball, and the Yankees have been a joke since the year 2001. Overspending on these idiot ball players. These ballplayers don't give a crap about baseball or winning, they just want the $$$, and the stupid Yankees keep giving it to them...

Yes, I will too be laughing when the Yankees get their *** kicked by Tampa!!

It is not fun anymore when crap like this goes on. it is never ending.
