Yeah, it's exciting to see their 3 young arms up with the team now. Their promising young pitchers of the last few years have all been traded away, so it's good to see them using their young talent now. Hudson, Mulder, Zito anyone?

      Re: Giants!!!

I love a pitchers duel, but I hate being on the short end of a no-hitter. I was trying to remember the last time a Giant threw a no-hitter. I remember Scott Garrelts was one out away from a no-no when he allowed a hit. I was watching that game, too. The last one must have been sometime in the 70's?

Foppert looked great today. I think he retired 16 in a row at one point. And the pen was stellar as usual. Let's hope they keep it up.

The last Giants no-no was by John "the count" Montefusco. so it must've been like 76-77? I remember the Garrelts game too, Estes also flirted with one a few years back, and I think Mark Leiter came fairly close too, it's wierd that it's been so long 'cuz their pitching has always been pretty good.

Wow, I wish I could have watched that game today. Schmidt was ON!! And Bonds is the master against Pavano. Nathan had another strong 2 innings. And Alfonzo has finally come around.

Dude! Nathan has been like the Giant's MVP so far, his era is still ZIP!!! He has to be the early favorite for comeback player of the year honors.
How many pitchers' are there that Bonds owns? After he figured out Johnson last year I'm not sure anybody has a clue what to do with him. Orosco does allright against him.

Nen, is out for the year, damn. But I think they're fine with Worrell, Rodriguez, Nathan, and later Christiansen.
If Christiansen doesn't come back strong they might have to get another lefty though. Zerbe and Eyre scare me.
