See, I did deal with him once on a personal level, which is why I think he's an ***.

And to consider him the best player of all time is absurd. Great, yes. Best? No way.

it's interesting how now you tell us that you dealt with him on a personal level instead of in your earlier post when you first called him an ***.
don't get me wrong, if he was rude to you for no good reason, that sucks, i'm not defending that.
if i were to run into bonds somewhere, i doubt i would say anything to him, unless he initiated the conversation, because i know that he prefers to keep to himself.

yeah, barry can be short with reporters and not parade himself as the game's good guys. however, he shouldn't be considered in the same "bad guy" category as albert belle and jose canseco. barry respects the game and has an appreciation for the history of the game.

alou is making adjustments to the lineup again. we know that alfonzo has been struggling with the bat thus far. today, against the pirates, alou has alfonzo batting in front of bonds. hopefully, this will bring some life into his bat.

i like the move now, but for the long run, i'm not sure...

Yeah, their bullpen has been awesome. I don't think Nathan has allowed a run yet. What you said before about him having closer stuff I think is pretty close to the truth. Brower's been looking pretty good lately too. It seems like when they have a meltdown, it happens all in one game, then it's back to business. It's good to see the W today, even though half of their normal lineup was out. And it's good to see that Rodriguez and Worrell recovered from the marathon last night.

Alfonzo should come around. He's just too good to keep having a slump like this. I'm scared that Neifi Perez is getting too much playing time. He's never been a very good hitter. I'm still very impressed with what Sabean has put together this year, though.

I can't wait for the series vs. the Cubs. I'm going to the game on Tuesday.

yup, nathan's era is still a big 0!!! and he's pitched quite a bit. i was talking to a mets fan who said that alfonzo has always been a slow starter and he's still a career 300 hitter.
                        moss pitched great today

Yeah, it's exciting to see their 3 young arms up with the team now. Their promising young pitchers of the last few years have all been traded away, so it's good to see them using their young talent now. Hudson, Mulder, Zito anyone?
