My guess is the steroid era will be remembered from 1987 thru 2003.

If Roy Halladay ever took PEDs i'd be crying for weeks on end.

That's how much i've put him on a pedestal.

I forgot about Chipper, but I don't think he did them either. That was basically just a "off the top of my head" list.

Giles brothers, not surprising if they are.
Nevin and Klesko, I wouldn't be shocked at all.
I think Ibanez and Griffey is stretching it and...
Rod Beck, Andy Ashby, and Brian Lawrence? I think Rod Beck would've turned up for something else that might've gotten him on this list, given that he ended up having serious problems. Andy Ashby was done and Brian Lawrence and Sterling Hitchcock... I mean seriously?

In either case, if it turns out to be true, then ****.

Name players that you think were clean during the steroid era
                  None.

If they weren't taking them to get huge, they were taking them to recover. There might have been one or two that abstained for health issues or whatever, but good luck finding that needle in a haystack.

I imagine it's pretty similar to finding a kid in America under 21 that hasn't ever drank. It's completely illegal, but the culture is that it's not a big deal and everyone is doing it. Sure there are some kids who are "clean", but talk about rare.

What could possibly be the parameters for who you guys think are "no doubters" for being clean? They seem like good guys? They had a "sweet swing"? For years Rafael Palmeiro was always one of the first names listed in these kinds of threads, because his swing was just "too natural' to have ever taken steroids. Haha, look how that turned out.

It's impossible to pinpoint who did what, and thrusting faith in select guys as for sure "clean players" just seems ridiculous.

I'm 15 and I definitely won't drink until I'm 21, and probably very rarely after that. Back on topic:

Players who I would be devastated if I found out the used:
                      Jim Thome
                      Ken Griffy jr.
                      Frank Thomas
                      Roy Holiday
Albert Pujols (Not sure about him)

I'm fairly certain it was already confirmed that Bonds is not on the 2003 list. The federal government subpoenaed the list in their case against Bonds and he wasn't on there.

                          2004 and on

                          -------------

                          Every played year before that

Line signifies the start of serious testing in baseball. There and admit everyone with the numbers in to the Hall worthy enough, and the ones not to bad. If players are caught using in current time, suspend them, if they do it again suspend them again, then ban them if again. People make mistakes. Especially when everyone else is doing it.

Also everyone that is gonna come post and say, Oh such and such shouldn't be mentioned in the same breath as ....... If you think the steroid era has just been recently, I would call you stupid. It is pretty widely believed that steroids were in major use across sports since the 1970's till now. The media was not the machine of finding evidence that it currently is now.

I may have miscounted but I only see 7 former pirates that i can recognize on that list. go bucs!

                            Barry Bonds
                            Brian Giles
                            Sean Casey
                            Jay Bell
                            Jeromy Burnitz
                            Jason Kendall
                            Jose Guillen

I don't think Bonds was taking steroids when he was with the bucs because he was very lanky at the time(he was there leadoff hitter)

So 30 teams into 104 players is about 3.3 players per team...the Bucs have twice the expected number and you are giving them props?
