I honestly think it's annoying already. People will never leave A-Rod alone. People are oportunist and are always looking for something to talk about. I believe he answered it correctly. I would have said something that would not have been nice to the reporters. His highschool coach already said it was BS and that people will always come up with things:wink:

Tipping pitches? Where'd this info come from?

Yeah who can blame the guy for getting injections he absolutely had no clue about.

All I can say is, it's nice to see the house of cards that built up the career and ego of Alex Rodriguez go tumbling down all over the place. I have a feeling roids in High School now and then is probably a lot more prevalent then we all think.

Re: A-Rod won't discuss latest info in new book

The tipping pitches thing seems like a real stretch. First off, this is something that defensive players will signal to the other players on the infield (a middle IF gives some sort of signal to the corner guys who can't see the signs). She is saying he was "signaling" to early so that the hitter could see. The real question to me then becomes is their evidence that these guys he tipped off "repayed" him by tipping him to their pitches.

I have lost all respect for A-Rod, but I must say I've lost a lot of respect for Solena Roberts as well. She really seems to be reaching and digging for anything she can get. Oh, how we like to tear down folks from their pedestal.

Solena Roberts is a piece of crap. She is taking this way to far, absoletely way to far. What more does she want? She is doing this all for her own success tearing down someone else for her gain. Look you already ruined A-Roid, now your digging into his whole past. If he did steriods in high school who the **** cares? I mean for one he was just a teenager trying to get bigger, hmmm wow shame for him. And anyways sterioids were not looked upon as a big deal back them.

And this tipping pitchers thing is non sense. No way is that true, it cant be. This has turned into like a TMZ headline type deal. Solena Roberts can take shut her ****ing mouth up. Like the above poster said I've lost more respect to her then A-Rod. She will say anything to make A-Rod look bad for her own success because this is all she has right now.

a lot of people in this thread just keep walking around in circles

a-rods a bum, he should be blackballed like MLB did to Bonds...

don't tell me anything about the "media circus" or "cant play in the field"

                    1. baseball teams dont give a flying **** about a media circus they play the game to win and make money. media circus doesnt hurt either

                    2. DH

                    3. Sheffield gets a job within a week when Bonds was better when he was still playing and didn't get hurt as much. Sheff was involved in BALCO too, just doesnt make any damn sense. one word...... collusion

                        Three words: Omission of facts.

Jokes aside, Bonds demands were high according to plenty of reports. Sheffield was gotten for the veteran minimum since Detroit picked up the tab.

As I said, you can argue collusion all you want, and it may or may not be true (I honestly don't have any real opinion on it as I could care less), but there was PLENTY of obvious reasons why people didn't want to take a flyer on him.

As for this, Bonds said he would play for the minimum (which was around $390K at the time, $400K now).

hmm...I didn't recall that (though one of those sources is from this year...and he is now 45 and out of the game for a while now). Still, fair enough on that.
