Re: A-Rod won't discuss latest info in new book
Well in the end, there haven't been books written on Bonds' use and abuse of illegal performance-enhancing drugs; and his confidence in unknowingly using drugs for this long, for a guy that is so broken about not playing that he would play for a salary 50 times less than his highest ever salary, is much more trusting than that of Rodriguez. I understand Bonds' contract ended, but Peter Magowan ran Bonds out of San Francisco. Under a more decent owner Sabean would have given him another year, guaranteed. I know the Sabean family well, I know what he would have done.
Rodriguez has been a worse culprit in all of this. Bonds has been scrutinized under a microscope for years while he's licking the toes of beautiful women under Trump's nose thinking he got away with what he did, and he's being treated like he came clean on his own, like he really was "young and stupid." I know the media don't portray it that way and neither do we, but Bud Selig wants to turn the other cheek about this. Apparently there's more to the story, and if he or Pujols used steroids prior to getting promoted to major league status, that is the worst of it all. That's cheating for a paycheck, not for a bigger paycheck. At least, by Bonds' word, he unknowingly took illegal action to do so.
And you don't lose your eyesight in the mid-40s. He benefits from a great eye and a sweet swing, and seeing him a couple days ago he is in great shape. It may take him a while to re-adjust agani, but he is still in good form. Better than Griffey anyway.
And the excuse that he's 44 was not an excuse last year when he was 43. All I'm saying is that he should have been playing from the get go, probably for San Francisco. Rodriguez deserves to play as much or as little as Bonds does, that's all I'm saying. It's unfair that a media circus following him will happen, as that is inevitable and not on him. He has been a great guy for the fans, his teammates, and baseball since 2004 and nobody will recognize that because of his ignorance in the 1990s.
Okay, end rant.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: A-Rod won't discuss latest info in new book
I was able to increase my bench press by 100 pounds in less then six months when i use to work out real hard. The only thing i was taking was protein powders and fat burners which give you energy. So that's a lame excuse:wink:NBA2K is the standard of sports games period.Comment

LOL how did I not think of that? I even read the damn book.
Wow, that was a fail of epic proportions. Truth was I was in class when typing it, my mind was in two different places. That must be the only excuse I have.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

This roberts chick is a joke, She's always had an agenda against arod and it shows.
gives bad tips? are you serious!?!?1
And listen to these allegations
Alex Rodriguez may have bulked up with steroids as early as high school - and was suspected of juicing while playing for the Yankees, a bombshell new book reports. Oh, is that so? I may have used it when i was a baby, so could you Selena you may be on them now. What a joke.
The book suggests Arod used steroids with the yankees. but again based on what while he's with the yankees there was testing.Comment

Can you imagine the "B---- T--s" chants he's in for around the league. I wonder how the broadcasters will acknowledge it. LOL. I mean, they can't say too much about it without mentioning what's being yelled, can they?

Re: A-Rod won't discuss latest info in new book
I'm horrible. For the life of me I can't figure out what B---- T---s means. I've sat here trying to think of the worst things people can say to someone and nothing. I feel so dumb.
Reading a chat wrap with Jerry Crasnick and lots of people are coming out in defense of ARod. I think people dislike him. They always will. Everyone knew he could be stretching the truth about 2001-2003. Everyone poured it on him when it was found out that he used steroids.
But, I think a majority of the people are beginning to see that Roberts is taking it too far. Crasnick goes to her defense saying that it's all about the steroids, but she's not just making it about steroids. She's going into nicknames, teammate's feelings, tipping pitches, how much he tips at Hooters (seriously), and even the assumption that he's making passes at girlfriends/wives of teammates. That's some soap opera stuff right there. It's no longer about baseball with her and Rodriguez. She's just trying to ruin him as a man.
I don't think many people, as much as they dislike Alex, are really supporting this agenda of hers. She's just going for his throat now and it's getting to be unfair. Crasnick says, "That's what happens when you're famous." No, it's not. Yes, you're famous but it doesn't give people the right to interrogate your life only to slam you. It's disgusting."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace
"You'll not find more penny-wise/pound-foolish behavior than in Major League Baseball." - Rob NeyerComment

If anyone believes for a second that his steroid use started and stopped in Texas, they are just patently gullible. That's just convenient BS. This guy probably stopped using steroids the day he got busted.
I don't prefer all the outside stories either, but they comprise a very controversial man who happens to play for the most visible team in the most media-hyped city on the planet.
Don't like it? Don't do steroids and stay in Seattle in the first place.Comment
