the following lineup would be ideal:

        1) Soriano, 2b

        2) Jeter, ss

        3) Giambi, 1b

        4) Bernie Williams, dh

        5) Vlad, rf

        6) Jorge Posada, c

        7) Adruw Jones, cf

        8) Robin Ventura, 3b

        9) Matsui, lf

        <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

Um...how do you expect to get Andruw Jones? There is no way the Braves would let go of him..just because the Yankees have the money to get anybody doesn't mean they will..

            2) Sign Vlad (preferably in the off-season). Like Soriano in many respects, a player with his skills comes along few occasions in a lifetime. He is *the* caliber of player you build (or maintain) your organization around. Not to mention, he has a gun in RF, which will replace Cannon Modesi following his 2003 tenure.

i believe A. Jones is a free agent next year and how can you be sure that the Braves won't let him go, they let Glavine and Millwood go. Plus, Jones has not filled his potential offensively, the AL could help him do that. Not to mention that Jones and Bobby Cox haven't exactly been chums over the years.

Maybe they let those guys go so they could afford Andruw Jones?

Ugh, no kidding.. I feel like I need a bath after reading some of this. Can't you guys just be happy with your present team? Is winning 4 out of 5 games just not good enough? Now you need Vladimir Guerrero, too? It's called humility, look into it.
