Vlad will not sign with the Yankees. Say whatever you want about money but Vlad does not want to leave Montreal.

I hope your right Eps, but I thought and heard the same thing about Giambi...

It's pretty sickening that the Yanks can just handpick any players they want... they'll eventually have a bullpen consisting of all the best closers in baseball if they were available.

my apologies for posting that mock Yankees All-Star lineup earlier in this thread (with Vlad, Andruw Jones etc). Was actually done with toungue in cheek (am not that spoiled of a fan).

Am thankful for the lineup we have. And thankful we have an owner who makes winning a #1 priority.

You're kidding, right? Why would Vlad stay in Montreal? WHY? That team is going nowhere and he isn't getting much recognition as he would on a successful team. I strongly think he won't stay with the Expos. They can barely attract 10+ thousand fans to their stadium. About him signing with the Yankees I'm not sure. He may or may not. If he is given an opportunity, I think he'll sign. I would love to have him and Tejada on our team. If either of them don't sign, no big deal. I like Mondesi but he's no Vlad. The same goes for Ventura. I don't think money would be the issue here as much as a chance to win a championship(s). I'm thankful for the team we have now but, you can always find ways to improve it.

Whats with this Tejada talk? We have Jeter. And at 3b, well Henson is sucking in the minors, but they didn't pay him all that money to never get a shot.

He's blowing his chance. He isn't doing much to get a shot at the big leagues when you're stinking up in the small leagues. The guy can't hit no breaking balls even if his life depended on it.

It's not all about being recognized, and it's not all about being with the Yankees. Why do you just assume everyone wants to play for the Yankees? He's making a lot of money where he is right now. Plus they're doing really well so far this year. What's wrong with that?
